Don’t take my word for it, ask Mclaren.

Maybe the FIA can come up with more regulations like
forbidding the Red Bull chassis to make it more equal.

It's increasingly looking like Honda was only part of the problem over the
last few years. There seems to be a malaise of complacency about them
through which they keep on telling themselves there is a magic fix around
the corner that will unlock huge potential from their car, when in
reality they are nowhere near.

With a Renault engine, they should be matching RBR if they are as good at
chassis design as they seem to believe they are. And if not matching RBR
they should be a lot closer than they really area.

I've given up making ridiculous assertions in the prediction pool here based
on a renaissance for McLaren via Alonso as it so clearly isn't coming good
that it is getting embarassing being a supporter of theirs now!

They do have some sort of excuse after 3 years not being able
to test anything due to a PU that couldn't sustain 10 laps or so.
Having said that it is amazing that Mclaren with decades of racing
experience was not able to analyze the data and see that it wasn't
only the lack of Honda power that caused their lack of speed.
Given the amount of money spent in F1 and making this kind of
mistakes ... I wonder what they are doing, they really look
like a bunch of amateurs.
Don't they have wind tunnels anymore or has the FIA forbidden that too?

You're right to a degree, but it's a bit OTT to suggest they couldn't test
the car for more than 10 laps. They weren't dead last at every race last
year and they were completing more than DNF'ing so they really should have
good (enough) aero and chassis data to take steps forwards. Perhaps
Canada is a poorly representative circuit in that regard, but we'll have to
see what the next few bring on the way to Silverstone.

Not doing so well without the Honda. Eh Eddie.

Well, not spectacularly better at least ...

Come on, McLaren have lost £50m at least. Having to pay for engines, no
rebate on Fred's money, fuck all coming from FOM. Garage sale at the end
of the season ?

Really, how many engine failures did they have this year?
How many points they gathered the last 3 years in TOTAL?
What was it you said again?

Mclaren, like Williams, had the opportunity to have their cars designed
by the best, but in both cases they pissed off Newey. Williams are now
on their uppers, too bad their team has a rotten atmosphere, caused by
Frank's obsession with penny pinching and treating people like shit. RD
made a team in his own image and stifled the genius of Newey. Now
they've got a clueless gobby Yank who's more concerned with the *Brand*
than getting his hands dirty and sorting out the problems.

I feel really sad for you. Your hero worship for Fred has taken over
your life. Every waking moment you're dreaming of him and he's doesn't
give a flying fuck about you.

You've got a serious case of unrequited love - and you're too stupid to
know it.

It's not really an explanation for your:

-Fred starts in 14th place tomorrow, I
blame him for McLaren building a crap car.-
