Every Time I Hear) That Mellow Saxophone - Roy Montrell - 8
One of the very, very few singles released under his own name by one of
the very busiest session men on the 1950's New Orleans music scene.

And one of the best!!

Hip Shakin' Mama - Jack Cochran - 7
Very good RAB effort on Sims from the artist later better known as
Jackie Lee Cochran ("Ruby Pearl") on Decca. Several of his singles
(including the Sims one) were heavily booted in the early 70's

I Won't Have You Breaking My Heart - Marvels - 5
Very average. This used to sell for us mostly on the other side---the
Trenier-ish "Jump Rock 'N' Roll". This group went on to bigger and
better things a year later when they morphed into The Dubs

Curfew Time - Turbans -5
Undistinguished item by a past-their-sell-by-date Turbans

Sounds like the Turbans couldn't decide between being the Coasters or a hillbilly band.

I'm really, really trying to find a "white" (rockabilly) record I can
rank higher, but it's just not working for me yet.

1-I Won't Have You Breaking My Heart - Marvels
2-(Every Time I Hear) That Mellow Saxophone - Roy Montrell
3-Curfew Time - Turbans
4-Hip Shakin' Mama - Jack Cochran

Need carl's ballot to finalize, but the Turbans will be out and the other 3 will advance. The Accents from way back in Group 1 is out as the lowest ranking third place record.
