Oh, didn't you claim last week you're "financially secure"? In December
you blamed not finding a job on the holidays. And in another thread you
said you can't find a job NOW because of Covid. (You sure didn't step
up when the pandemic started and hospitals were in dire need of nurses.)

Bah, he just paid $20 in personal property taxes for Baby II a few
weeks ago. And he's gonna need that since his Leaf battery is about
shot and it costs $4K-$6K to replace. That's an expensive tank of
gas.

A quick Google says:
"What is the real range of a Nissan Leaf? 168 miles"

Presumably the later the model Leaf, the greater the range has
increased. But 70 miles suggests John's battery is slowly failing. We
went into town yesterday and had we used John's Leaf, we would have
barely made it, let alone return home.

Many other brands of EVs have much better range, though.

Yet teh 24KWH battery should get you 80-100. And you've run out of
electricity twice now, having to be towed. Bye bye Leaf! Save the
disposal charge and just drive into the Missouri river.

It's the original battery. How many miles on the car?

In the first decade of the twentieth century, the new entertainment medium of motion pictures exploded in the tastebuds of
an eager public, a visual gelato for a nickel an hour to take them away from the pressures of their lives.
The first cinemas were little more than converted storefronts; a screen or a sheet tacked to the wall at one end and
a projector at the other, with scattered seats in between and no toilets.
There were reports that some patrons became so transfixed by the projected images that they remained in their seats
and relieved themselves on the floor, rather than go out to a public toilet.
Often there was only one exit, which exacerbated another potential health hazard. 35 MM film was made of cellulose nitrate, which
was highly inflammable. If the film jammed in the projector gate, the heat from the projector’s beam could cause it to catch
fire within seconds and burn for hours. In 1897 a nitrate fire at a Paris venue killed 140 patrons.

I used to take my son over to Pearl City every day. That was around 16 miles. A round trip would be about 32 miles. An electric car would have worked out just spiffy - even if it only had a 70 mile range.

Celluloid is some pretty wonderful stuff. It was originally used as a replacement for ivory billiard balls but was also used for a replacement for ivory on piano keys. The uses of celluloid exploded during the late 19th century as it was used in new fangled, brightly colored, plastic jewelry, and film stock. Celluloid guitar picks are awesome collectors items. To test for celluloid, you shave off a little be to see if it ignites. Therein lie the problem with celluloid - it's too flammable for modern times.

Which is more than half of his bank account right now.

By the time his Leaf battery dies, he won't have enough cash left to
get a new one fitted. RIP Leaf.

Which is why he still keeps gas-guzzler "Baby", of course.

When he crashes Baby he'll be begging a discarded wreck from Trewly

Bah, he just paid $20 in personal property taxes for Baby II a few
weeks ago. And he's gonna need that since his Leaf battery is about
shot and it costs $4K-$6K to replace.
Which is more than half of his bank account right now.
I didn't see his claim, but wasn't his claim of $10K over 2 months
ago? That was $640 worth of prostaglandin ago. Plus the weed, the
personal property taxes, the exterminator, the upcoming real
property taxes ($4,200), utilities during winter, all those beans
and rice, asparagus in the off season...
Post by Janet
By the time his Leaf battery dies, he won't have enough cash left to
get a new one fitted. RIP Leaf.

Oh, didn't you claim last week you're "financially secure"? In December
you blamed not finding a job on the holidays. And in another thread you
said you can't find a job NOW because of Covid. (You sure didn't step
up when the pandemic started and hospitals were in dire need of nurses.)
BSN = Bullshit Nurse.
Hehe... all true.
Should we place bets what goes on the market first. I'm thinking Baby
2. He may even get $500 for it.

And "tomorrow" has just closed for today. Did they let you choose
from a dozen or so new pediatric pitienst, or did you just let
choose one for you?

Go donate plasma, you shithead. Since I had some down time over the
holidays, I'm traveling 6+ hours (on a GOOD day) to get those "New
Donor bonuses" ($150 x 8 donations) at a new plasma collection
company across town twice a week. You can get to the same company in
only 15 mintutes (CSL Plasma on New Halls Ferry). That's $100/hour
for you, 3 hours a week (2 donations @ 1.5/hours including travel
time).

But you'd rather stay home and do absolutely nothing but spend money
on dope (supposedly - I'm doubting that) and your boner pills.

I have not been keeping track very closely but it seems to me that it
was a little more than a year ago that he talked about his first
pedophile nursing gig with an agency. Since that time there have been a
number of different agencies he has signed on with and at least a dozen
assignments he has been referred to and a total of 4 or 5 days of work.
I'm beginning to think he really doesn't want to work at all. He's just good

He's qualified. He did that for years, and was very good at it.
His only other viable choices are Social Security, a lower paid,
less skilled job, or suicide. I figure that he'll blow off this
opportunity and have to start taking Social Security. As much

more. The lowest scoundrel should not be denied a job that

He doesn't want to work, unless it gives him access to the vulnerable,

Unless it involves either one of those groups of people, you will note
he has zero interest in pursuing work. And the opposite applies for
those jobs he DOES show an interest in.

Several months ago he snagged a juvenile nursing job for about
2 weeks or so. The kid had a stuffed (small?) teddy bear and
they'd play a game of tossing the bear into a basket. This game
kept both of them entertained for hours.

That's been the extent of his employment for the last 12 months.
But there's always a job "in the next few days/next week" that never
comes to fruition.

Nothing wrong with that. Did you expect him to read Shakespeare with
the child?

Well frog, no I did not expect him to read Shakespeare to the child.
However, I don't think anyone here expected such glee when describing
the engrossing game.

Some people need to watch movies, some need to play computer games,
some need to go bungee jumping and some need to throw a bear in a
basket. RFC needs to be an inclusive newsgroup.

I didn't find it for him. No doubt he'd already see it. What I did
was call attention to it so that everyone here can see if John
truly needs a job, or just wants to touch children. I *would*
hope he'd prove himself to be less of a maggot that he seems,
and even a maggot can do useful things. Even you, Bruce.

$14/hr for making donuts... Honestly, if it were right in town, I'd be
seriously tempted myself. There is a donut shop in walking distance of
my house, but they seem to only hire family. My only trouble is working
weekends. I had to turn down a ton of part time jobs for that requirement.

Yes, it was tossing around a stuffed teddy bear rather than a ball. It
was not a sexual innuendo as much as Brian may try to insinuate. John
called it playing "Basketbear". Along with babysitting this kid I think
he sometimes served him lunch. It didn't last long and there were many
confusing stories about why the employment ended. The family lost their
government health benefits. No, wait, the kid was going to start
school. Then GRANNY was going to call him for after shool. Never happened.

I NEVER SUGGESTED that basketbear had any sexual component. Not
once. Don't you fucking have any degree of memory left? You can't even
spell my name. Just shut the fuck up about me if you don't have the
brains to get shit straight.

What I would do is when others would deride Kuthe for basketbear, I'd
post replies like these:
____________________________________
Have you ever inspired a disabled child to dream that he could
one day aspire to be a basketbear Olympian?
Yeah, that's what I thought.

Have *you* ever won a game of basketbear by sinking a 3-pointer at the
buzzer? Yeah. That's what I thought.

Have *you* ever been voted MVP of the National Basketbear League?
Yeah. That's what I thought.

Maybe, but have you ever sunk 17 straight free throws with a basketbear?
Yeah. That's what I thought.

I'm beginning to think he really doesn't want to work at all. He's just good
at talking about it.
He doesn't want to work, unless it gives him access to the vulnerable,
i.e, the elderly or very young.
Unless it involves either one of those groups of people, you will note
he has zero interest in pursuing work. And the opposite applies for
those jobs he DOES show an interest in.

But here it is the 8th and no job as usual.
