Trump is stirring up a hornet's nest by doing this.
He should've stayed *neutral*.

Trump lacks foresight and common sense.
A stupid and very dangerous move..... IMO.

All I can see from this is downside. As predicted, it's made the Palestinians
and other Arabs angry at the USA. It's diminished our capacity to be
an arbiter to try to bring the two sides to a peace agreement. Trump has
his idiot son-in-law in charge of finding a solution, how does this make
that possible? This must be more of the secret Trump skill at negotiating.
Stick a finger in their eye as step one. On the other side, what was
the upside? Other than
making Kushner, Israel, some Jews here and those crazy evangelical Christians
who want it because they think it's going to bring the second coming of
Christ happy, what's the upside? There is none.

Meanwhile Don Jr. invoked attorney client privilege before Congress yesterday
when asked about his discussion with the president about his meeting with
the Russian rep peddling dirt on Hillary. He claims that because a lawyer
was present, he doesn't have to answer. This was a conversation he had
with Trump this summer, which is when they claim the president first knew
of that meeting. If the president had been stunned, yelled at
Don Jr for having the meeting, etc, and proceeded legally and ethically,
there would be no reason not to just say so. The claim of attorney client
privilege most likely is BS and won't hold up if it's challenged.

Meanwhile Mueller is reportedly going after Deutsch Bank for details on
where half of Trump's empire's financing has been coming from. Deutsch
Bank plead guilty earlier this year to massive money laundering with
Eastern European countries. Supposedly, despite Trump claiming he has
all kinds of banks ready to lend him money, most won't because he defaults,
sues them and won't pay. Even the arrangement at DB is unusual. He's
not getting the money from the normal commercial side of the bank,
according to reports, he's getting it from the private banking side.
Very interesting. DB has a relationship with the Russian bank who's CEO
Kushner took a meeting with at the request of the Russian ambassador.
What are the chances that DB gives Trump a loan out of one hand and
takes money in from Russians with the other? IDK, but it sure would
explain Trump's bizarre fondness for all things Russian.

It is an anti-Obama thing I think. Clinton, Bush, and Obama said they
would do the same thing but once elected chose not to. This may just be
his way of saying he did as promised.

Personally, I see no reason for the USA to be involved. We have walls

Obama, Clinton and Bush didn't not do it because they couldn't, they didn't do it because they correctly realized there was no upside to it, only lots of downside and it made no sense. Trumps own cabinet are on the same page, ie Mattie, Tillerson were against it. Other than Trump and real estate boy Kushner, can you name anyone in the WH who thought it was the right thing to do?

I read that all those in Jerusalem were offered citizenship, but only
about 15 thousand took it. Those who do keep it secret so they won't be
killed. I googled and the offer is still on the table, but approvals
are on hiatus starting a year ago. Anyhow, those with citizenship can
vote in all the elections.

There have been Arab members of the Knesset since the first one.

As to the West Bank, if they had negotiated after they lost in '67, they
could have had all their land back (except I guess for Jerusalem), but
the Arab countries met in the Sudan and voted, "no peace with Israel, no
recognition of Israel, no negotiations with it" and that's what the
residents of the West Bank got.

Trump is stirring up a hornet's nest by doing this.
He should've stayed *neutral*.
Trump lacks foresight and common sense.
A stupid and very dangerous move..... IMO.

They've been farting around with the 'peace process' for decades; might
as well start a war and let the best Semite win.
No such thing as a good Semite, but letting them get rid of half of themselves would be a good start.

Simply DISGUSTING!

If any other president had done this, I would have thought they looked
at all the advantages and disadvantages and made a reasoned decision.

The almost-proof is that they all decided not to.

But Rump has no sense at all, and he proves it with his tweets.

BTW, my newsreader or news provider wouldn't allow the quote marks in

All he's proved is he has a different opinion to all the lefty weak kneed folk.
So when he stays up at night and attacks Mr. Khan, the father of a dead
soldier, or he's up at night attacking a Miss USA, or he gives a speech
at the Boy Scouts that embarrasses them, then he tweets falsely that
they wrote him a letter saying he gave the greatest speech ever, and
they announce that they didn't write him, I think that shows he has no
sense.

Speaking of others, one of the magazines went back to 11 former ambassadors
to Israel, all the way to the guy who was Ike's, nine of them said it was
a very bad idea. Two said it was OK.

And I'm still waiting for Trump or the trumpets to explain what the upside
to this was. I think there are 70 countries that have their embassies
in Tel Aviv, I don;t know of a single one that has theirs in Jerusalem.

But all that is good apparently with the trumpets, because Obama or
Hillary would not do any of it. Best part is that so many of them claim to
be such good, virtuous, christians. Go figure.

I read that 5 or 6 had their embassies in Jerusalem during the early
years, 1949 or 50 and afterwards, but they all moved to Tel Aviv.

This was back when there were only 60 or 100 countries.

Some examples of Birdbrain Macaw's (now "James Wilkinson" LOL) sociopathic
"mathematics":
"100 is 5 times more than 20.
"5 times less" is the opposite of "5 times more", so this makes 100 back to
20 again.
20 is 5 times less than 100, the same as dividing by 5.
An elephant is 5 times bigger than a tiger, a tiger is 5 times smaller than
an elephant."

"I'm comparing being able to tell the difference between 21 and 12 to being
able to tell the difference between 21 and 12. If you think that it's easy
to think a 12 year old is 21, it's only fair to use it as a reason when you
get caught fucking a 12 year old, which you mistook to be 21."
MID: <***@red.lan>

less than 50 watts."

"The answer is 9. The 0.5 chicken is dead, so basically it's 1 chicken
laying 1 egg per day. The half egg was one halfway out, the only egg for
that day."

"let's say you prefer 20C water. If you go in 10C water you'd say that was
cold (10C colder than you want). Now you go in 0C water, that's twice as
cold, because it's now 20C colder than you want."
MID: <***@red.lan>

"Even if only 25% of people want it legalised, and let's say LibDems already
have 15% of the vote. If 75% of that 15% stop voting for them because they
don't want it legalised, they're down to 3.75%. But 25% of the 85% who
didn't previously vote for them, change their mind due to this policy, they
gain 21.25%, giving them a total of 25%, well up from 15%."
MID: <***@red.lan>

If I say 5, then "or so", the "or so" means up to another 5.
Is English not your first language?"
