soaps - Basically pass - the only significant thing happened was on
DOOL, when Gwen did exactly as I predicted: accusing RedAbby of killing
her fetus/foetus by "pushing" Gwen down the stairs.
SEAL Team (recorded) - "Rearview Mirror" (ep. #4.12). Another one of
those "first half personal/family stuff, second half 'mission'"
episodes, though this one was directed by Max Thieriot (Clay).
Anyway, in the first half Jason Hayes learns from a former teammate
that he's only a good Bravo One "outside the wire", but a lousy one
when his charges are "off the field". Meanwhile, Ray continues to
struggle but is in denial. And Davis and Sonny are done again (though
Davis gets a job offer that would take her away from Bravo Team for
good).
This is all interrupted when Bravo has to pinch hit for one of the
other teams, and is unexpectedly sent to west Africa on an op against
Boko Haram, which includes their new officer who insists upon coming
along on the mission (Blackburn never did this!!). Their first mission
- a supply run to a village under siege, which is successful.
Next episode: Bravo has to fight off Boko Haram when they attack a
hospital!!
Recorded for later: Black Lightning, and Debris.
Debris was a real let down. Especially as I’ve been power watching
warehouse the 13th the series at the suggestion of the Peacock. We’ve been
ragging on debris as being a rip of the X-Files but it’s really more of a
substandard rip of warehouse the 13th or The Librarians.

I see it as more of a rip off of Fringe. It's about 60% Fringe and 40%
X-Files. I didn't make it past one, *maybe* two episodes of Warehouse,
so I can't speak to that. I thought last night's episode was OK. I
think it would have worked better if they ran both hours as a single block.
I watched:
Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist - "Zoey's Extraordinary Double Date" - I
already forgot most of what happened. But I know Zoey went on a double
date with her ex and current boyfriend. And she's way too upset that
her ex is thinking about moving out of town. This episode was directed
by Mandy Moore. No, not the Mandy Moore you've heard of before, the
other Mandy Moore that you never heard of before.
Legends of Tomorrow - "Ground Control to Sara Lance" - Season 6 kicks
off with a standard meh episode which has the Legends searching for
Sarah. And just when you thought the show's continuity couldn't get
worse, they retconned Gary to make him even more ridiculous and
unbelievable.
Batwoman - "Initiate Self-Destruct" - I don't even know where to begin
with this mess of an episode. I guess it's not so much that the episode
was bad, it was just full of stuff I didn't like. Alice is still
hanging around even though she should have been dealt with long ago. So
in this episode they do sort of deal with her, but they do it in a way
that makes Batwoman look bad. Then there's Kate Kane. For *no* good
reason they brought her character back. Then on top of that, they are
going out of their way to ruin her character. But other than that, it
was an OK episode.
9-1-1 - "First Responders" - Team 9-1-1 spring into action after one of
their own is the victim of a targeted hit and run attack.
Black Lightning - "The Book of Reunification: Chapter One: Revelations"
- I watched half last night and finished it off this morning. This was
mostly the family dealing with not having powers anymore (more or less)
and Jefferson being jealous, because reasons. Painkiller is still
sticking around so they are obviously setting him up to face off against
the meta hunter. That should be fun.
