[slrn] Any backend to post on Reddit?

Hi,

Since gwene.org is read only I was wondering if there is any backend to
post on Reddit using slrn, for example to post on group discussions like
gwene.com.reddit.orgmode

I'm not even sure if that would be a good idea in case it doesn't exist.

I just like to work using the console and I really like the way
discussions are handled by a newsreader, and Usenet in general. If I
can't access Reddit via slrn right now I guess I will check something
like rtv (https://github.com/michael-lazar/rtv#demo) and keep slrn for
NNTP and gmane.

This is a solution for Gnus, which I realize is /not/ what you were asking
for, but it seems to be actively maintained:

And hey, if you're using Emacs for Org-mode anyway... ;-)

Yes, I'm using Emacs Org-mode (and Evil-mode, I think I'm still a
vimmer) so I will definitely take a look at your recommendation, perhaps
I will even learn something to contribute someday to slrn, which I'm in
love with.

I agree, too. I don't use Reddit, and I think Usenet and Unusenet is
better. Of course, if the people who provide the service want to do, the
same messages can be available over multiple protocols, perhaps even with
multiple interfaces.

For protocol plugins, what my own program (bystand) does is it can call
external programs that communicate NNTP by stdin/stdout. I don't know much
about how the plugin interfaces of other programs, although if they can
call external programs, then the same plugin system could be implemented,
even within other plugin systems. (Some features are not yet implemented
in bystand (such as authentication), but I intend to in future.)
