Last night
I walked in and heard a voice
Eagerly calling my name.
I looked.
The face was not familiar,
She looked attractive.
She was smiling.
She was happy to see me.
She had a fresh haircut.
She was alert.
She was with a man.
I was introduced and,
He immediately called me by the wrong name.
Of course I had forgotten his.
Our talk was small.
I wished them a pleasant evening,
And walked to the end of the bar.
I opened a book.
The bartender,
My beer.
There was just enough light,
To read.
Who the HELL was that?
