Roger Cardinal Etchegaray,born September 25,1922,died September 4,2019,
one day after the death of 100-year-old Jose de Jesus Cardinal Pimiento
Rodriguez had made him the oldest living cardinal.

Cardinal Etchegaray had been a Cardinal since 1979 and was the last
survivor of Pope John Paul II's first consistory;in 2017 he had retired
as vice-dean of the College of Cardinals to return to France,having been
based in Rome since 1988 and Cardinal-Bishop of Porto-Santa Rufina since
1998.
