I just got mine yesterday. I am looking forward in in testing it. The quality of a phone call is rather clear.

I was really tempted to just grab the 8 Plus instead of the XR, but the difference was only something like $50. The XR is fine and all and while I still prefer the touch ID way more than the face ID, I opted to just bite the bullet and go for the XR for future compatibility. Had there been a steeper drop in price for the 8 Plus then sure, I would have maybe pulled the trigger, but for $50? Apple's basically asking you to get the newer model.
If Apple comes out with an iPhone that somehow incorporates touch ID along with a face ID option then I'd probably jump all over that and give my wife this XR, but for right now, the XR is ok.

I know and I stay away from those models. I am fine with out having the home button as long as I can have the fingerprint reader.
Post by Sieghard WeitzelIt is not only Apple that is done with the home button, many Android
phones also don't have one any more and quite a few models are
starting to also have no 3.5mm headphone jack any more.

I enjoy my Iphone XR, not having a home button takes a little getting
used to but once you master the new gestures, it's just as easy. There
are a couple of other differences, for example the dictate option is
in a different place on the screen, over all though it's a nice phone.
It does seem that Apple is done with the home button so everyone will
need to get used to the new way of doing things moving forward.

How are people liking, or not, the iPhone XR, XS, and XMax sizes, and
general usability?
Thanks, Keith --
