Why does R. Kelly get the free ride while Michael Jackson's new music can't be heard?

I'll start off by saying I've never been a big R.Kelly fan. His stuff
is just too sappy for my tastes. He can be heard here in the
midwest(he's from Chicago, go figure)on the local radio. My little
neice has his songs memorized.

Creepy but children are generally(as they should be)oblivious to a lot
of the ugliness of the world.

I've heard a few tracks off the Invincible album on KAZAA a while
back, I liked them. A few weeks back I heard a track that I hadn't
come across that I'd assume was also on INVINCIBLE: Don't Walk Away. I
think that was it. I thought it was terrific music. The interesting
thing was I heard the song in a grocery store that had a satellite
radio installation. I thought, of course, commercial radio doesn't
want to touch Michael's stuff for fear of being in support of him.

I guess, the heterosexual R.Kelly is a more comfortable image for
radio directors to get behind than Mr. Jackson is.

That's pretty fucked up IMO.

Johns and points both north and South. Ever since then, Debbie has had a

I find it hard to believe that a millioniare with myriad rooms in his house
at his disposal,reknowned for being 'fragile',having pain issues and
bruising easily would not need to get a camp bed or foldable mattress to be
comfortable.His reasoning that 'the company gets the best' only is true in
poorer households where a sacrifice (iethe cold hard floor for one's own
bed) HAS to be made to put the guest's needs first.Michael,with all his
guest rooms and the creature comforts they contain, has no need to suffer in
discomfort on the floor in order to give his charge his own bed..
Also,one does not need to share a bed with a child to molest that same
child.All is takes is an opportunity for the adult to be left alone with the

That's just it, the media does not care about what R. Kelly does. IF he
had been accused of raping or sleeping with a little white girl OR
boy,all hell would break loose. The public or media does not care
because it was a 14 year-old BLACK girl.
Michael is being railroaded because he was HONEST enough to admit that
he shared his bed with CHILDREN and the media and Snakedon has used this
honesty to perpetuate a scam. Anyone in their right mind would know that
if you were really molesting a child, you would NOT admit that you share
your bed with CHILDREN. Another thing is that the media and SOME in the
public WANT Michael to be guilty because of his non-conformist image. He

thing was I heard the song in a grocery store that had a satellite
radio installation. I thought, of course, commercial radio doesn't
want to touch Michael's stuff for fear of being in support of him.
I guess, the heterosexual R.Kelly is a more comfortable image for
radio directors to get behind than Mr. Jackson is.
That's pretty fucked up IMO.

Intresting words crownborn. I take it you're meaning the perception of
Michael being homosexual towars the end of your post.
Yes that IS very weird how commercial radio is blocking Michael's music
while not blocking R. Kelly's when both are under investigation for child
molestation. And even MORE so when R. Kelly has a physical TAPE most likely
showing him to be the culprit which is pretty hard to explain away.

I'm glad you made this post crownborn. You are the proof that the fans have
been proclaiming about the Invincible album & how politics hampered it's
success. You liked songs off Invincible. You saw it for yourself & liked the
music. If the general public got that chance then the album would have done
much better than it did though it still did well in this age where the music
industry is in a slump because of downloading.

Maybe Satellite Radio is the future. Howard Stern I think is going that
direction now because of the backlash of censorship that followed that
non-incident with Janet Jackson at the Superbowl.
Technology can free up some things sometimes.

Hopefully satellite radio can maintain its integrity & independence & not
end up like commercial radio did.
