Paris Green aka Copper Acetoarsenite.
I heard that this substance is a very
deadly chemical and is very seldom used
anymore in the pyro industry as well as
a lot of pyro chemical dealers stopped
selling it for that reason. It was responsible for the deaths of actress
Brittany Murphy and her boyfriend. Does anyone know where it can dump this stuff
off to someone who wants it as I have a 1 pound bag of it in which I never opened for that reason?

If you don't eat it or breath it you probably won't have any problems with it.Do you know any other pyros near by who might want it?

Where do you live?If you don't want it I'll take it.What pyro conventions do you regularly attend?

I live near San Francisco. You
probably don't live near me,but I can
dispatch it to you via USPS. I don't
attend pyro conventions because I don't
know of anyone that will notify me
of the time, place etc. of their holding.
I'm less than a novice at this but think
of purchasing land in Nevada along with
a number of people to blow off our pyros
undisturbed.

Greg

FWIW, you probably want to review USPS regulations on shipping poisons. Paris Green is classified as such. I hope this helps.

Greg,

If you're really interested in attending a convention and learning the art and science behind pyrotechnics, visit PGI.org. Next years convention is in Mason City, IA from Aug. 4-10.

Thanx mike for the info. Hope to start my own website for would be pyrotechs here in California. Hope to get interested people to join me into purchasing some desert property in Nevada so we can set off our pyrotechnics undisturbed. Heard that land there is less than $1k per acre.
Again Thanx,
Greg

Greg: You should consider attending the Western Pyrotechnics Association Winter Blast at Lake Havasu over Presidents Day weekend. If you have trouble finding land in Nevada I've got 20 acres in Utah where you could work.
