LOL exactly what I was thinking. Killfiles were made for people like him. In
fact didn't a long-time usenet poster here finally succumb to using a
killfile after years of saying he didn't like them solely because of
TexarseGay?

Yep, ‘twas me. I have always disliked the idea of killfiles because, as
someone here said, it’s a bit like sticking your fingers in your ears and
humming, but I made an exception in tgate’s case. Not because, as I suspect
he hoped, I was shocked but because his nonsense is so boringly repetitive.

The killfile works brilliantly but I know he is still about because people
occasionally respond to him and I see their posts.

Likely said by someone who is in a lot of killfiles. It's a filter, nothing
more. Life without certain filters would be impossible, they're not
something to be scorned, rather the opposite in fact.

Tex does not have Tourette Syndrome, but some kind of obsession, which is not the same. Tourette is a "tic", more often physical than verbal.

I know of a couple of teens locally who do have this syndrome, and they are great kids -- one, a girl whose 'tic' is swearing, is a terrific drummer, and typically calms down and cheers up while playing. Fortunately her school accepts and accommodates her. Years ago people were involuntarily certified and warehoused in mental hospitals.

I was at school with a lad who had what was then called "St. Vitus Dance", which is actually cased in childhood by a bacterium. It often diminishes and disappears.

The world is getting better, isn't it? But 50-60 years ago at school was a lad with a prosthetic leg; it was awful to hear him make up stories when strangers asked about his limp. I heard him tell a school inspector that he was not doing PE that day because he had recently 'twisted his ankle'.

I went to school with a kid who'd lost both legs arsing around on a
railway line. It didn't stop him being one of the lads. He rode a bike
to school every day in the summer. Being a lad led to his downfall.
Along with a classmate he robbed a shop on the way into school. The
owner was very old and partially blind, an easy victim or so they
thought. The old feller still had very good hearing and the thieves
were picked up very quickly, when he told the coppers one of the kids
had squeaky legs.

My local radio station recently did an interview with a tourettes suffer
Live & without a beep machine.
it was a very enlightening program, unfortunately it is no longer
available on 1 player ;-(
