I find it all too typical and very reflective of the hypocritical and twisted thinking of those on the far-right that after many months of *attacking* the credibility of the FBI, that they would suddenly start citing "statistics" by that federal agency.
It kills me to admit this, homo hummel, but I think I have to say that
at long last, you finally have made a valid and good point.
Fucking bullshit. "We've" blasted the FBI for what they've truly done...
no one made the shit up that THEY did. That does NOT preclude "us" from
using their statistics, you 98lb. weakling basement dweller.

The acts the FBI HIERARCHY has done politically, NEEDED to be addressed.
No one is impugning the rank and file at the FBI... it's those in charge
who have sullied it's reputation... mainly Comey, but there are others who
have used the office as their own personal covert political spying
operation.

1. After Dylann Roof killed nine South Carolina parishioners in cold
blood, James Comey admitted that an error in their background check system
allowed Roof to legally buy his gun. "We are all sick this happened,"
Comey said of the massive screw-up.

2. Shortly after the NSA scandal exploded in 2013, the FBI was exposed
conducting its own data mining on innocent Americans; the agency,
Bloomberg reported, retains that material for decades (even if no
wrongdoing is found). This is particularly ironic since Comey largely
launched his political career by aligning himself with Sen. Schumer during
the Bush Administration, making himself known as an opponent of a
controversial surveillance program.

3. From 2013-2014, the FBI authorized informants to break the law more
than 11,000 times, a steep increase from the years prior; these
allowances, which the FBI calls "otherwise illegal activity," is part of a
controversial program that has been accused of resulting in the accidental
death of many informants (amongst other unanticipated consequences).

4. Comey made an embarrassing gaffe during a speech at the Holocaust
Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. in 2015, when he suggested Poland was
an "accomplice" to Nazi Germany during the Holocaust. The comments angered
America's allies in Poland, whose foreign ministry summoned the U.S.
ambassador for reprimanding. The ambassador, Stephen Mull, later
apologized on Comey's behalf.

5. When the FBI demanded Apple create a "backdoor" that would allow law
enforcement agencies to unlock the cell phones of various suspects, the
company refused, sparking a battle between the feds and America's biggest
tech company. What makes this incident indicative of Comey's questionable
management of the agency is that a) The FBI jumped the gun, as they were
indeed ultimately able to crack the San Bernardino terrorist's phone, and
b) Almost every other major national security figure sided with Apple
(from former CIA Director General Petraeus to former CIA Director James
Woolsey to former director of the NSA, General Michael Hayden), warning
that such a "crack" would inevitably wind up in the wrong hands.

6. In 2015, the FBI conducted a controversial raid on a Texas political
meeting, finger printing, photographing, and seizing phones from attendees
(some in the group believe in restoring Texas as an independent
constitutional republic).

7. During its investigation into Hillary Clinton's mishandling of
classified material, the FBI made an unusual deal in which Clinton aides
were both given immunity and allowed to destroy their laptops.

8. Before Comey's tenure, the FBI came under attack for not taking
seriously enough the threat from terror suspects they interviewed. The FBI
interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev but let him go; Russia sent the Obama
Administration a second warning, but the FBI opted against investigating
him again. Earlier, the FBI had possession of emails sent by Nidal Hasan
saying he wanted to kill his fellow soldiers to protect the Taliban -- but
didn't intervene, leading many critics to argue the tragedy that resulted
in the death of 31 Americans at Fort Hood could have been prevented. After
Comey took over, the sae unfortunate trend continued. The father of the
radical Islamist who detonated a backpack bomb in New York City in 2016
alerted the FBI to his son's radicalization. The FBI, however, cleared
Ahmad Khan Rahami after a brief interview.

9. The FBI also investigated the terrorist who killed 49 people and
wounded 53 more at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Fla. Despite a more
than 10-month investigation of Omar Mateen -- during which Mateen
admitting lying to agents -- the FBI opted against pressing further and
closed its case.

10. CBS recently reported that when two terrorists sought to kill
Americans attending the "Draw Muhammad" event in Garland, Texas, the FBI
not only had an understanding an attack was coming, but actually had an
undercover agent traveling with the Islamists, Elton Simpson and Nadir
Soofi. The FBI has refused to comment on why the agent on the scene did
not intervene during the attack.

11. The bureau "dropped the ball" after they were alerted that someone
with the user name Nikolas Cruz posted on social media that he aspired to
be "a professional school shooter," according to a former member of the
FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Forces.

Comey isn't at the FBI anymore. So why are you picking on him? Why
not go all the way back to J Edgar who routinely did warrantless

Nixon's enemies list as a guide, Congress acted by establishing the
FISA courts.

The FBI under Comey isn't acting any differently than it has under any
other director. Your complaint isn't with the FBI's practices, but
with their investigations of the friends and associates of Donald
Trump, many of whom have lied repeatedly to Federal and Congressional
investigators, pled guilty to other crimes, and been shown to have
engaged in money laundering in violation of government sanctions
against an American adversary, Russia.

Funny how when Eric Snowden blew the whistle on government warrantless
surveiling of American citizens, you guys on the right raised merry
hell that he was a traitor and needed to be killed for exposing
government secrets. Now, you want to whine about one (just one) of
the agencies that did so under direction from President Bush. Why
aren't you complaining about him, Clapper, the NSA and so on? After
all, it was Clapper who, when asked if his NSA had ever collected data
on ordinary, innocent Americans, responded by scratching his forehead
and replying, "Not wittingly."

This is not uncommon and happens at all levels of law enforcement that
uses informants. Why is it suddenly a problem? Oh, yeah, because
Comey was investigating the Trump staffers who kept making trips to
Moscow as paid Kremlin advisors and money launderers. Go figure.

Doesn't change that what he said was fact. There were plenty of
Polish collaborators or the Nazis would never have got away with
stuffing all the Jews into the Warsaw Ghetto. That said, the Polish
people did what they could against Germany. The Polish resistance was
larger, better equipped and more effective than the fabled French

How does this bear on Comey, exactly? So the FBI figured a way into

wasn't involved with the work. And it wasn't the Comey or the FBI
that demanded that back door, it was the DOJ, the FBI's boss.

It's wonderful to be able to sit back in hindsight and complain about

But aren't you guys the ones who most often complain about leaks? In
such a case as the above, the informant, if he'd intervened, would
never be useful as a Muslim infiltrator/informant again. Wasn't it
Patton who said that to make an omelet, you have to break a few eggs?
In any case, the two gunmen were killed, a security guard was shot and
there were no other casualties. No need for the informant to

Watch CNN Anchor's Disbelief That Clinton Aides Destroyed Phones With
Hammer -- By Caitlin Yilek - 09/04/16 05:16 PM EDT

CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin was in disbelief when she learned that Hillary
Clinton's aides destroyed her phones with a hammer.

When Boris Epshteyn, an adviser to Donald Trump, told her on air that the
Democratic nominee's aides destroyed her BlackBerries with hammers,
Baldwin interrupted him to ask a reporter to fact-check that statement.

"Evan, hold on, can you fact-check?" Baldwin asked reporter Evan Perez on
"CNN Newsroom" on Friday. "Evan Perez? Hammers? Fact-check that for me, on
the fly."

"Yes they did, Brooke." Perez responded. "As he mentioned, there were 13
mobile devices and 5 iPads that the FBI said that in some way were used
with her private email server, and they did in some cases just destroy
them with hammers when they were done using them."

The FBI on Friday released a detailed report on its investigation into
Clinton's use of a private email server while she was secretary of State.

The report included notes on the agency's three-hour interview with
Clinton.
