I kind of like the hat. :)
It's a neat Fedora. Kind of banged up though. Almost purple-ish?
In case you haven't figured it out by now, John is in love with
everything purple.

Purple (combined with pink) was actually in fashion for a bit in the
late 1980's. Often referred to as "yuppie clothing."
Back then I painted an old wooden trunk like that.
First I painted the entire thing white, then painted the metal bands all
around it with very light purple and pink. No kidding.
The purple and pink are very very light shades so good to show contrast
but not so obvious. It's a white trunk basically. I still love the
combination all these years later.
This is my Christmas trunk. It holds all the Christmas decorations, etc
and it's a nice furniture addition to my living room.
Not only that, if you remember the wall size mural in my living room -
It has 4 basic colors: White, black, pink and purple. Same colors as my
living room curtain and one chair.
