Well, it happened, if you're running current kde4 you will be upgraded
to kde5, Nothing special to do, just hope you have enough partition
space to make it to clean-system. And check your blacklist if you use it.

Me, I'm not in a hurry rid myself of kde4. So I reverted my slackware
testing back to current and turned slackware+ off. The upgrade is huge
with all the vtown and ktown being removed. Read the link for details.

I'll let you know how the upgrade goes after reboot.

About 2hrs and 20mins later I got to reboot into a upgraded system with
no pkg+, ktown or vtown, it was removed with clean-system, just straight
current, everything seems to be as it should be.

On 12/20/20 slackware current got a new kernel 5.10.xx and it works fine
on my other computers, but this desktop with nvidia-legacy the hdmi
audio stopped working.

There is a nvidia patch for the kernel, but I've never done anything
with the kernel and it's always worked fine before this and I don't know
if installing a nvidia-driver and patching it will fix my audio.

So I removed the system and installed
slackware64-live-current.2020-12-14.iso, blacklisted all the kernel,
modules and firmware stuff and it's working fine.

Hopefully slackware will fix the problem and also fix kdf. Until then I
will be using antix-kde5 and only testing slackware current.

Problem here was resolved by updating to kernel-5.10.2 and installing
the latest NVidia driver,455.45.01

This machine uses the legacy driver and the huge kernel, I've never had
hdmi problems before while using slackware.
