As I've mentioned here before, it's not uncommon for me to lose a day
but this week I have gained one! I had been going to collect my
prescription meds on what I thought was Wednesday, but decided to leave
it until Thursday. In the event, didn't need to because they were
delivered on Thursday morning (1). At least, I thought it was Thursday
morning. I've just rushed round like the proverbial fly, trying to get
ready for a Zoom meeting which happens at 6 o'clock on a Saturday
evening, only to be told that the next meeting was on 25 April - and a
quick glance at the corner of my screen showed that to-day was only the
24th. Thought it was odd to have the meeting on a Sunday ... then saw
that "Saturday 25 April" was mentioned. "Ha! She's got the wrong day,
there" I thought. Then checked again and my computer told me that
to-day was only Friday. Now it makes sense that the Chemist's was open
this afternoon!

I like having an extra day to look forward to!

(1) Not so impressed when I discovered one of the meds wasn't there
because they're out of stock (2) but they hadn't thought to put a note
in to that effect.

(2) First it was loo roll, then flour and denture tablets, now BP
medication! Whatever next?

I've had three Zoom meetings this week, with another one at 9 this
morning, plus virtual church tomorrow morning. Life is a social whirl
when you're not seeing anyone.

What technology does your church use? Ours uses both Facebook, which is sometimes a bit flaky, and also YouTube.

Facebook, Youtube, Zoom and Whatsapp, depending on the degree of
interactivity required and the number of people expected to take part.
Our Sunday morning meetings were usually 200- 250 people, so Zoom is out
of the question. I think this morning will be WhatsApp, but wouldn't
guarantee it.

Ours woukd be over 100 but the teens have their own set up. I think we’re
40 - 50 Zoom, can’t remember FB and phone from last week.

Time to take this iPad and it’s stand elsewhere so McT can listen to TA in
peace.

Phone? Zero this morning. Something to do with Zoom bringing in a
password - for which we typed in a word - you can’t do that on a phone.
Whoops.

It was Facebook. It worked perfectly for about forty minutes, then froze.

I was really wondering what our churches were using for streamed services. We have FB and YouTube here.

I managed to squeeze in a Zoom conference call to see the latest and not so
latest equipment used by those with my eye condition. I’d already set up
a FaceTime chat with a friend who has the sane eye condition as me. I had
to leave Zoom as it was over running, just heard TA and be ready for
FaceTime. Today is Zoom for church, then mid-afternoon FaceTime to China.
Plus contacting by phone the nursing home. I forgot yesterday, but it’s
not really essential every day now I know there’s no return to any state of
life as she knows it.

Sincerely Chris
