Strange show that one. I'm wondering how Gus was able to get a bunch of
scientists and experts to take a ride on the train of their own free
will. Also what Gus stood to gain by a) discovering the secret of the
Mummy and b) killing all the passengers after they had found it out?
Well I'm very glad to say I got completely the wrong idea about the
storyline by reading the reviews here before I saw the show on catch up
TV. I guess some people like to make up their own spoilers.
I was actually thinking it might be Clarrie's last episode from the
start of the show. I'm glad we got to see her in that skinny flapper
dress before she does go.
Saw Dr. Who extra this time before the actual show. Good grief the
amount of detail they went into recreating the Orient Express. Dr. Who
must cost a small fortune to make these days. Also I liked the idea of
Frank Skinner being on Dr. Who but they didn't seem to be sure what to
do with him apart from keep time. If he was the engine driver how come
we never saw him anywhere near the engine. And I wouldn't have known
that the Jazz singer was actually a chart contender doing a cameo.
Seeing as the Doctor and Clara were talking over her bit it was hard to
tell if she was a good singer or what the dialogue was.
Next weeks looks more interesting. 2 dimensional beings. Must be
something of a first.
