Stanley Baker and Peggy Cummings are good in a story of dump truck drivers forced to travel at beak neck speeds to keep their jobs. Herbert Lom as a transplanted Italiano gives a neo realistic feel to a film that looks cheap.
The driving sequences are the only parts that work tho it would be unlikely any of the crew would last more than a day taking curves at high speeds and pulling hair breath escapes from fatal crashes as just part of the job. Of more interest for small parts played by Jill Ireland, David Mc Callum and Sean Connery than anything other than the road show. 5+/10 demolition derbys

I was too much focused on the improbable situation of numerous dump ducks barreling down busy highways without being targeted by coppers for tickets to appreciate the good display of emotional sequences between the famous and soon to be famous cast members. Always liked Stanley Baker as a tough decent chap. More a story of strong emotional moments and highway hi - jinx than a more sedate style drama and maybe all for the better. Kept my interest on a third viewing so worth a 7/10 hit the roads
