Academic Archers paper horribly late. It's about Archers fans who stop
listening but who can't completely keep away from the events in Ambridge.

If you've ever stopped listening (for months, years, or decades) I'd be
really grateful if you could take part, as well as sharing with any
other listeners you know. Thank you!

When and for how long did you stop?

I thought about it, but didn't think I qualified; my listening was
patchy up to some point before 1985, but I don't think I could honestly
say I stopped for long, as I hadn't really started.

It's about the same for me. I started listening in 1974, which I
remember because that's when I got my first car radio.

I stopped after Helen was arrested. The story line at that point
annoyed me, did not help abused woman (as women's said places said
eventhough they'd been consulted first) and the general misery made me
stop listening until Helen came out of prison.

That reminds me - what happened to Helen’s best friend from prison,
Umbrella, who came to visit her at the farm when she was released?

I can't say what happened to her, but I can say that her name was Kaz
and that her visit to Home Farm was in the last week of 2016.

Do you remember the good old days when we deplored the Beetle and had
such high hopes that she would be replaced by someone who would...?

I lost both hope and the plot shortly after that.
