Discussion:
The mechanics of how the left keeps moving.....

So, ummm... yesterday I went to Kansas University to watch a play, and that
play was called
Perfect Arrangement or something like that... It was based on the so-called
lavender scare,
during the McCarthy years... Anyways, reading the KU's program on the play,
it gave their own
little synopsis, which included its obligatory attacks on Trump and how we
are heading back to
McCarthy era and that gheys are being forced back into the closet...

It was very interesting, actually instructive on watching how the school
brainwashes kids.. Fact, it
is down right scary... There was a Q and A afterwards and I stuck around
just for shits and grins, to
listen to these people talk... It was kind of like I would imagine listening
to half of this group talk in
person... Everyone detached from reality...

The play itself was actually very funny, which is how I suppose they do the
brainwashing now a days
take something like the subject at hand, inject a lot of comedy in there to
real the youth in and start
working towards getting to believe in some fantasy worldview... Expertly
done.. and it was interesting
to watch this unfold, in real time...

So, abelard, if you are reading this, Trump is only a speed bump and that
play did have a motivational
factor for me to step up my plans to get out of here, ASAP...

a question should have been asked...

which party was mccarthy before he realised he couldn't get elected
for that party...

true...

i'm working from memory...i have never read up on him
in detail...he never interested me sufficiently...

from my memory he was in a position where he couldn't
get elected as a democrat which was why he switched...

the unions wanted him at least at one point because his
opponent was an anti-commie...so apparently worse
than mccarthy!

but as i say

here is a cut from the unreliable wikipedia

"The suggestion that La Follette had been guilty of war profiteering
was deeply damaging, and McCarthy won the primary nomination 207,935
votes to 202,557. It was during this campaign that McCarthy started
publicizing his war-time nickname "Tail-Gunner Joe", using the slogan,
"Congress needs a tail-gunner". Arnold Beichman later stated that
McCarthy "was elected to his first term in the Senate with support
from the Communist-controlled United Electrical, Radio and Machine
Workers, CIO", which preferred McCarthy to the anti-communist Robert
M. La Follette.[44] In the general election against Democratic
opponent Howard J. McMurray, McCarthy won 61.2% to Democrat McMurray's
37.3%, and thus joined Senator Wiley, whom he had challenged
unsuccessfully two years earlier, in the Senate."

i'm still not inclined to research him...but in view of your claim
that he is being used by the left as propaganda...
their case is doubtless very vulnerable

i thought people should realise that

It is said that McCarthys' campaign manager presented

run on. The first was education reform, the second was
the problem with domestic commies. Joe essentially
flipped a coin ........
