I have just successfully ordered two tickets. There is no booking fee.
It seems they are using seetickets this time.
All worked without a hitch.

As a follow up, the etickets that arrived don’t appear to be day specific.
So it appears you can change your mind as to which day you attend.

Opening hours 1000 to 1600 (had to ask, I failed to find this on the
website)

I just ordered one, and it says SATURDAY ADULT. Top left under whatever
logo that is!

So it does - couldn’t see for looking. My mistake.

The next concern is will the train services to Derby cope?

Well, at least Crewe to Derby will no longer be the single 153s that it
was for many years. The other question is will the train crew turn up?

Well, the original railway was all private, and the visiting stock will all be privately owned, so maybe Jeremy can lay
on some smart shuttle trains from Crewe to the factory?

Another marketing failure! They said they'd announce the
re-availability, but I didn't see any of that. Thanks for virally
marketing it.

As of now, Friday and Saturday are sold out, Sunday slacker perhaps due
to the relative impossibility of getting a train to Derby on a Sunday
morning. But I was going to drive, anyway (despite parking being a
potential issue).

Anyway, they are suffering from potentially slow electrons "At busy
times [it doesn't say for whom] it may take a few hours for this email
to arrive".

They also say it's not necessary to print the tickets, because I can
take my device and have them scanned on arrival. As my desktop PC is
about 20kg, and the monitor another maybe 5kg, I think I'll pass.

Wasn't a big problem for them, was it?

Like SMS and, in former times, usenet messages.

New ticketing platform, the problem was choosing a broken one to begin
with.

Both arrive here in milliseconds, so please explain who or what are
"busy" (see above).

The lack of announcement that it works again.
Would have been a bigger problem (concerning
Friday and Saturday) if tickets had been unsold
because of this very lack.

Okay, some might hate them now and refrain
from buying Alstom works tickets for any
following occasion.

... but the new ticketing platform presents a web page with Alstom
headers and footers, so it is unclear who the DPO is, and what the cookies do.

That's a whole other can of worms, to be dealt with somewhere else, with
a different hat on.

When it comes to good English, mixed metaphors are the spanner in the

For usenet messages that might mean superfast peering.

May it take more milliseconds for SMS on new year's eve?
