It would be nice if a tighter labor market resulted in increased wages.
Unfortunately, wages have still not kept up with increasing inflation.

It would be nice if a tighter labor market resulted in increased wages.
Unfortunately, wages have still not kept up with increasing inflation.
Record numbers of resignations are the result of workers quitting to
move to higher paying jobs -- however even larger numbers of teenagers
and unemployed minorities are filling those vacated lower paying jobs,
and other entry level positions being created as the economy grows.
Increased numbers of low paid workers have held down the averages, but
the total work force is being paid more.

I'll believe that when the median salaries by professional discipline
show the increase. So far it has been slow but steady progress for over
10 years.

More jobs than workers. Employers are having a problem finding help.
And yes , salaries have been going up to hang on to good employees.
Democrats try to rain on Pres Trump's parade every chance they get.
