will give a make believe press conference.
Little Bush,Jr will have a seating
chart of the reporters, no doubt
carefully marking where the friendly
reporters are.
Count on NO tough questions and
nothing he hasn't been coached and
prepared for in advance

And now we hear that the first 15 minutes will be taken up by a song and
dance number.

The president could no longer evade the inevitable. As painful a decision
as it must have been for his staff to have him appear before reporters to
answer questions, his silence was doing him more harm. He'll eat up time
with his opening statement, and if this press conference follows the format
of the few he has done, it will be well scripted. He will have a diagram of
the media seating arrangement, with the "friendly" reporters circled in
red. His answers will be general and sweeping. The hope is that he can get
through the 45 minutes unscathed. It will be interesting to see.

NPR reporters.....

He never answered a question. He could have been asked about the tie he was
wearing and his response would have been the same. He filibustered his way
through the 45 minutes. I can imagine the torment his staff must have been
going through offstage. He succeeded simply by making it through still
standing. He bordered on confusion a few times, and then simply slid back
to his scripted message. There was very little substance overall.

they brought in a bunch of kids who were willing to sell their soul to
get on national television, and were prompted about which questions to ask.

Remember GWB got confused and called on them out of order == "Anne,
don't you have a question?"
Anne was so confused because it wasn't her turn to ask the specified
question she went into a panic and ALMOST asked a question to which George
didn't have the answer. Fortunately for the dummy, she eventually
recovered and asked the right question.

But just look this evening, and see how many familiar faces you DON'T
see.

Bush went without a net the second 1/2 of that conference and marked
the point where we went unscripted. He finished with a question from
NPR.
The only thing he could have done beyond that is invite Al Franken. I

great. May have made you sick to your stomach, but thats because you
get a sense that you are outmatched and it isn't going away. How will

like a failure when it came to communicating. Bush served him, like he
is going to serve john ketchup.

I wish he would have asked the guy - " speaking of failure when it
comes to communications - do you feel like one since you work for
national public radio, a broadcast that cannot survive unless it is
subsidized by the American tax payers, for without your country paying
your way as you criticize and hate it, your radio station would go
down the tubes in 2 weeks, just look at Air America !"

Those were hostile questions - the majority of them were. Few
reporters were friendly. YEt - I dont see you on here correcting the

Wrong as a massive-two-shits liberal. He was freestyling for well over
30 minutes. He isn't as quick on his feet as say..... a cheating lying
lawyer (ref earlier administration which you yearn for) he doesn't
have to be. The man is steadfast in his beliefs and he is consistent.

Count on 4 more sid, you know he has it in the bag.
