Read mark learn and inwardly digest lest you overlook the opportunity to
get
some cash for an important contribution to society or just to have fun
with.
Regardless of individual merit, the grants listed come to about 0.2% of this
year's total arts budget.
The list is a long way short of complete.
But the point is that some of the grants (if indeed grant is the correct
word)
appear to be rather silly.
Silly or not is in the eyes of individuals - but spending $18 million
on a flag referendum when a majority of New Zealanders surveryed early
on said they didn't want any change was worse than silly
Irrelevant off topic drivel as usual.
So you want to defend the cost of $18 million do you? Give it your
best shot, Tony . . . .
Are you serious? Have you been at the sherry or suffering from
dementia?
It is easy for many people to relate to small numbers, but to not
really see that much bigger numbers can be proprtionately more
important. Some would see the larger waste as being more Facsinating,
do you agree?
No of course not. Certainly not "proprtionately (sic)". You are a
childish piece if garbage and we all know it, especially you.
Why do you pick on typos by other people and yet make more typing
mistakes than all of the other users in nzgenera put togetherl?
The OP made a valid point and you dismissed it with a change of topic
and rudeness. Obviously some of the grants were a waste of my money,
Shane Jones at his worst.
You add nothing but shame to this ng. You at your worst.
Was Shane Jones invoved in CreativeNZ?
Do you ever stick to a subject?
Yes, I am querying whether the statement "Shane Jones at his worst" is
correct. I suspect these decisions had nothing to do with Jones.
Post by Nellie the ElephantPost by Rich80105This was Covid19 response funding; it has now stopped; it kept a lot
of people busy and invovled and spending money; the amount being
objected to was very small.
Does not affect the argument at all.
It goes to the purpose of the spending. This was a sector that was
significantly affected by Covid - live performances and sales of art
objects would have stopped; the money would have been intended to give
the ability to continue in the industry through a difficult period
while also providing spending that assisted businesses - supporting
business through continued domestic activity is one of the reasons we
have come through the highewr Covid levels in such a good economic
position; the government supported bot the arts and business . . .
Post by Nellie the ElephantPost by Rich80105Was the money provided under covid response provisions to The Taxpayer
Union a similar waste opf money?
You get sillier with every post.
What was silly about the query? I note yu have not attempted to answer
the question.
