If you are not Bill 'pleasant doo-wop' Bugge, you might enjoy
the majority of this undeniably great collection of early rock music :-)

Winifred Atwell {UK legend} - Let's Have A Ding Dong {both sides} - 1955

Willie Tremain's Thunderbirds - Midnight Express [Swastika 1001] - 1959

(for me, one of the best instrumentals ever recorded)

Dave's Travelers - Traveler Rock [United Southern Artists 5-107, Hot Springs, Arkansas] - 1961

OT The Swanks - Ghost Train [Charm 6081] - 1968
great video :-)

Dennis Volk - Dennis Boogie [Fling 713] - 1960

Royal Teens - Mad Gass [Power 113;;NYC] - 1959

P.J. & His Headliners - Anchor Rock (Anchors Aweigh) [Astor 1004] - 1960
- frantic piano

Al Hendrix with Jolly Jody and His Go Daddies - Go Daddy, Rock - 1958

Bill Duzan & The Corvettes - Shaften [Duncan 401] - 1962

The Devrons {Canada} - Brand X [Barry 3091] - 1962

Here's the video where I first heard it ... in 2007.

Although it was released in 1968, it was recorded in 1964.

Two of the comments on that page were posted by Lee Libby, one of the
members of The Swanks, giving quite a bit of background information on
the group and the recording.

Ken, I've now read those two comments made by Leon Otha Libby in 2015.
Many thanks for the interesting info.

I'm not surprised that "Ghost Train" was first recorded in 1964.
