He's hosting a show on 50s On Five on Sirius XM. I only had time to hear =
"Good Golly Miss Molly" and "Oh Carol" and his discussion of his Little Ric=
hard covers.
I'm sure I've told my Pat Boone story too many times, but anyway....
so, back in 1978, we had the same producer so we knew a bunch of people in =
common. I saw him at Tower Records on Sunset and introduced myself and we g=
ot into a conversation.
But the weirdest thing about it was this constant hubbub in the background,=
of people around us whispering "Pat Boone". He must have lived, and is sti=
ll probably, living his life in this bubble where his name is constantly sp=
oken, at least when he's out in public.
And Pat Boone, while well known, isn't the biggest star. It must be pure he=
ll for these people after awhile. They never really have a normal life.
You get used to it after awhile. I take no notice nowadays
