**Hi,

see pic of local council building with many hanging fluoros in foyer:

The hanging tubes appear to be T5s and there is NO enclosure.

An internal metallised strip is visible running end to end.

The low end has a neat fitting, white plastic cover.

Light emanates from all around the tube.

Google turns up nothing like it on offer.

What is it ?

A close-up would help.

Ryness Electrical always have something like this on display in
their shop window, but I can't find it on their website.

I've seen them used in other shops - more usually they are tied
up horizontally, but they can hang vertically.

** It looks exactly as I described.

I even asked the former mayor of Ashfield ( cnr Ted Cassidy) and was assured
the tubes were regular fluoros.

But regular fluoros do not work when connected at one end only.

*** Perhaps there are unseen wires up a hidden side of the tubes.

I can't take the time to view the URL, but if there are caps on the
exposed ends, this might be the case.
