I did wonder that myself before posting, but didn't bother to check.

There were some very small cast lists after they resumed broadcasts in
the last week of May last year. Up to the end of August there was only
one cast list of seven, with the rest having 4, 5 or 6 characters.

Ignoring that though, the smallest cast lists that I can find in the 10
years before that is 16, which happened twice in 2014. 2014 seems to
have been the year for smaller casts, there were 9 weeks that year in
which the cast size was less than 20, with only 12 other weeks in the
rest of the decade that had a cast that small. Mostly the casts back
then were mid to high 20s. This year it is the other way round with the
cast only occasionally getting up into the 20s.

Thanks, I wasn't considering the non-studio recordings.
It does occur to me we had a lengthy period of 6-day-weeks between periods
of 5-day-weeks but I've no idea when the start and stop of those were.

The 'rule of seven' was about the maximum number of speakers in any given
day, I think.

I assume that Nancy did not come cheaply.

Was it the same Denise as her previous appearance do you know please?

Fair enough. I thought we had had a fleeting appearance some years ago
but may well be wrong.

with a work-related issue.
Justin wants to take over all land in Ambridge and farm it so as to
get maximum green points (and funding).
Snappy notices Hilda is on the list for vaccination and goes away on a

Post by carolet
Monday 30th - Lilian is confronted by a ghost from the past and Jakob
finds roles reversed at the vets.
Either Denise or Nancy or even both are the ghosts I suppose? Someone
from her time away from Ambridge? Jakob is asked to vaccinate Peggy's
cat and she makes a hole in him rather than he being about to make one
(with a needle) in her.
Post by carolet
Tuesday 31st - Tracy lends a helping hand and Lilian admits the truth.
Tracy gets a new job as vetinary (Vetinari) nurse
Lilian had twins 25 years ago (How long has she been back?) and had
them adopted.
Post by carolet
Wednesday 1st - There's a near miss for Justin and Alistair's situation
becomes ever more complicated.
Justin takes anotehr stab at Hilda but almost vaccinates Tracy against
cat flu.
Snappy's 'course' was actually a residential from the just have a good
time website that Kate told Roy about.
Post by carolet
Thursday 2nd - Lilian and Justin become more ambitious and there's a
happy ending at Greenacres.
L and J decide to take over the whole of the UK. I have no idea what
Greenacres is? A house? An open prison? A half way house?
