What does that mean?
[sigh]. When have you ever listened to something that is contrary to
your personal will??
Nevertheless, the bible is a bunch of stories that anyone can point a
finger at and call hooey/poppycock. Talking donkey, parting the Red
Sea, born of a virgin and so on and on.
No actually. People may label it as fantasy because they are unable
to control matter but that doesn't make it fantasy. if you had ever
read thru declassified CIA files you would find out that the CIA
actually spent 12 years studying Tibetan Buddhist monks that were
able to "manifest" solid objects on a small scale, ergo bottle caps
coins, small pieces of gold, things like that. This study was done
all in the name of searching for ways to make metal seamless.
However, what nobody can call
hooey/poppycock and be honest is the resonance of the bible.
Absolute truth resonates with the spirit of some men but not all. It
is the bedrock of reality, just like the sky is blue yet you know there
is science behind why the sky is blue, and not green or yellow..yet
there are men that will argue that it is blue because of water alone
but that isn't the case.
For instance, take the story of the parable son. Was there actually a
prodigal son with a father who gave him his inheritance, who ended up
with the pigs and returned home?? It does not matter!
It does indeed matter! It's prophetic in nature as the lesson can be
applied to all ages and peoples, teaching adolescents the result of
unrighteous living. Parents have to have examples to teach by and
usually it's easier and safer to use someone else's acts of stupidity
and ignorance than to use your own and risk your children losing respect
for you...
What is the resonance of the story though??
A boy who thought he knew what was best for himself, took for granted
all that he had, and was humbled to learn and understand what he did
have. That the most valuable thing, the treasure of his life was...the
love of his father...The Love of the Father.
See the resonance?
And so it is, the bible is the truth because of that resonance, the
resonance of God Himself and His ways.
Do you see your error now? Right here you are using a parable
for instruction yet earlier in the post you claimed that this
kind of teaching did not matter.
How confused you are!
