Joe Dicso?

At the very end of Saturday Night Live last night, right before host Don Cheadle's goodbyes, a card appeared onscreen with the name and photo of Joe Dicso, SNL's longtime stage manager (1976-96), who started stage managing at NBC back in the fifties.

I assume this means he passed away, but I can't find any verification online.

Here's his IMDB page, which is quite incomplete - he actually worked on thousands of shows over about four decades.

I saw that, too.

Dicso's name is in the credits for 1960 final "Howdy Doody/Clarabellle Speaks" episode.

IIRC, he is in that big SNL "Not Gonna Phone It in Tonight" production number with the entire cast and host Steve Martin from about 25 years ago.

That IMDB page is minimal, as is usually the case for behind-the-scenes
types.

Another thing worth noting about title cards is that they often come
following a passing, and given the way that SNL has done them over the
years (a picture alongside the persons name), the clear assumption
to make is that Dicso is no longer with us. However, there are no
obituaries or any other proof online of his passing. This may actually
be a case in which the series itself is confirming the news before
anyone else. Given his longtime connection to the show, this would
hardly be a surprise.

"I have yet to find official notice of Dicso's passing but Facebookers in
the business who knew him have been paying tribute to the long-running
stage manager."

"He was my grandmothers uncle and my father and aunt have some great
stories with him. They even got to see the studio for SNL.
I can confirm from his more immediate family whom we keep in touch with
that indeed Joe Disco had passed away on February 18th."

(Note that the title card taken to be his death announcement was shown on
16 February, so the person confirming his death not only has the date
wrong, but misspelled his name.)
