Hi All Apple II and II Plus Enthusiasts,
I just uploaded a new copy of [my] "Apple II Reference Manual (for II & II+) - 1979 + Addendum" to Asimov incoming:
Apple II Reference Manual (for II & II+) - 1979 + Addendum (alt JPD).zip and
Apple II Reference Manual (for II & II+) - 1979 + Addendum (alt JPD) [PAGES].zip.
[These zip files are huge! The manual & addendum are PDFs. The pages are JPEGs.]
I reworked (prettied up) the cover art, so it is not the [my] original cover. The Apple computer in the center of the cover looks a lot more like a real Apple II (on my LCD monitor), but it is not a photograph. I hope the colors are satisfactory. Colors always look slightly different on different monitors.
I also included [my] "The Addendum to the Apple II Reference Manual" (both within the manual and separately from it), but it [my copy of the addendum] is different from the other versions I found online.
The reason I scanned in my copy of the manual is so I could convert the AutoStart ROM listing in Appendix C into text. All the other versions I found online don't convert well. I will have to see if my copy will convert better than those. But, I figured that since I was removing the binding, I had better scan in the whole manual, not just the appendix desired.
Antoine Vignau's version of the AutoStart ROM is just source code and does not have the assembly address and byte code columns (that I want) and his version is a later version, 1985; but it does convert well (with CiderPress), since it is already in a textual format.
[Jorge, a diehard Apple II enthusiast (in Spain?), will probably love my manual (if he can read/translate the English to Spanish?).]
Yours truly,
James Davis
