Post by Let Cosby Go-Justice Must Not Enable SlutsIs his second death recorded in the Bible? If not, do you believe it anyway?
The key question is whether or not he was dead the first time.
We do know for sure that Christians are reborn. However, we do know that Laz
was not a Christian.
Lazarus was NO Christian?
Of course not. Jesus had to die before there were Christians.
In our baptism, we join Jesus in death to sin.
Romans 6:1-5 New International Version (NIV)
Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ
6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2
By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any
longer? 3 Or dont you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus
were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through
baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead
through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly
also be united with him in a resurrection like his.
Post by Slaveholders Can Tell Me Nothing About Human RightSo when Peter confessed that Jesus was the Messiah/Christ, that confession was invalid because Jesus had not died yet?
Unless you want to tell me Peter was talking to a dead body
"Messiah/Christ/Anointed One" is a Hebrew designation for a warrior king that
would deliver the Jews back to the prosperity they had before the Babylonian
exile.
You'll have to explain to me what Peter was thinking before I can help you.
The thief was saved under the old covenant.
