[Framers] Bad Character Data

Maybe a little off topic but does effect FrameMaker imports.

We build industrial content - power tools, cutting tools, safety supplies, etc. - by copying and scraping web sites and pasting content into Filemaker. Filemaker then exports out the rich content and associated images into a file where I can import into Framemaker or import into a sql database for web use.

Over the last few years we have been experiencing introduction of bad end of line characters (0x0) with this process causing our xml or .mif output to fail. I have to use a text editor to find the offending characters, fix in the database and then reexport.

Just wondering if anyone out there is experiencing this issue and what are you doing to combat this?

Thanks.

I only know about bad influence of wrong paragraph ends x0D:it stops the find
process. Most likely it is a resduum of old Word imports. See
https://daube.ch/docu/fm-kurs/handout-fm80.pdf#page=336 : Find does not find. I have
recently demonstrated this Adobe at the tekom in Stuttgart. This is a problem older
than FM-8.
