They'd hate us even more if they knew we really aren't afraid of their
brainwashed beliefs. Anyway, how could I be a Christianity denier, since
my family is Jewish? Which form of Christianity would I be denying?
There are so many of them. They never seem to answer that question.
(Of course, they'll say that their personal form is the only right one.)

In 2008, I transcribed this from a video on the now defunct Atheist
Nation web site. I couldn't find it at the Internet Archive. He
obviously saw that problem, even though it never occurs to the
fundies. Any typos are my own.

FWIW, the original URL was
http://www.atheistnation.net/video/?video/02219/atheist/barack-obama-religion-politics/

I posted the transcription in
https://groups.google.com/d/msg/alt.atheism/3fbjrEiCshA/KUci4dHb9A8J

We are not just a Christian nation, we are also a Jewish nation, a
Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation and a nation of
non-believers. Even if we expel every non-Christian from the United
States whose Christianity should we teach in schools? Would it be
James Dobson's or Al Sharpton's? Which passages of scripture should
guide public policy? Should we go with Leviticus which suggests
slavery is OK and eating shellfish is an abomination...

...democracy demands that the religiously motivated translate their
concerns into universal rather than religion-specific values. That
their proposals be subject to argument and amenable to reason. I may
be opposed to abortion for religious reasons, for example, but if I
seek to pass a law banning it I can't simply point to the teachings of
my church or invoke god's will. I have to explain why abortion
violates some principal that is accessible to people of all faiths
including those who believe in no faith at all.

Christians will never make complete peace between all their religion
and cults. Each one will believe it's the only right one. Without any
believers of other religions than their own or non-believers, they'd
have to go to war with each other. And the Christians who don't
believe in violence would be the first ones wiped out. They'd quickly
become complete barbarians. Not the partial ones some are even now.

I like the quote. It's a shame that website no longer exists.

It would be foolish to reason that if the "church"

truth.

That would be foolish.

As a vet of the US Army,
LOL!

"I guess proper punctuation isn't of much use in Toronto. Nothing there but tears and queers." May 15, 2019 - Kuntsy applies hate speech to an entire city over a punctuation error.

"Tim the Dim is canadian, Lo Mein." July 8, 2019 - Kuntsy demonstrates his marginal literacy and bigotry toward Chinese people.

"I didn't ask what it is, Lo Mein. Where is your pixie?" July 9, 2019 - Again kuntsy demonstrates his racist attitudes toward Chinese people.

"I can say the same thing about God, Lo Mein." July 10, 2019 - Kuntsy shows how grown up he is by believing in a sky daddy and using racist remarks.

"Playing dumb comes easy for you, Lo Mein." July 10, 2019 - More of kuntsy's racism.

"Really, Lo Mein? You still haven't told me where this pixie you call 'Nature' is located." July 10, 2019 - Kuntsy's moral high ground on display again.

"If you don't like to hear that, either apologize or stop reading my posts. That's simple, even for a canadian." July 15, 2019 - Kuntles shows off his grammar skills and hatred of the North.

"Forget Any Rand. She had no grasp of the real world." July 11, 2019 - Kuntsy demonstrates his grasp on spelling names.

"! The end of yet another leftwing dream" July 18, 2019 - Kuntsy thinks that subject titles should start with an exclamation mark and don't need periods!

"I looked high and low for you the same warning when the epithet belowed appeared on a.a." - Kuntsy perfects the bastardization of the English language, LOL!

"Hadn't you heard? Timmykins blames his empty head on the nature of the Universe so, of course, it's not his fault. After all, he didn't actually ask to born!" - Kuntsy emptied his head and poured religion in, LOL!

"No one who knows the history of the 20th century can have such a polyanna view of human 'empathy'." Oct, 28, 2019 - Kuntsy consults his "Any Rand" name dictionary, LOL!

"I don't know who you're talking abo" Nov 10, 2019 - Kuntsy proves, once again, that he doesn't know what he's talking about, LOL!

"I slogged all the way through the Quran. I've been in 4 or 5 mosques. Pass one almost ever day but I'm not convinced to convert, no." Nov 10, 2019. For kuntles The days last for "ever" in Plovdiv, LOL!

"Timmee just can't untangle those fingers sometimes!" Nov 21, 2019 - Kuntsy just can't figure out how to use commas, LOL!

That was so poetically stupid. Why does science frighten you? Are
you that terrified of having your personal beliefs disproved?
Well, you know how it is with literalists -- some literalists anyhow:

No Adam, no Fall. No Fall, no original sin. No original sin, no substitutionary atonement,
No substitutionary atonement, no Christ.

Of course the great majority of Christians worldwide are not literalists,
nor are the countless Christians who are also scientists troubled by
the implications of science.

No, I welcome sincere challenges. But when asked

Such as when asked to explain the origin of the

They can't do that, because it points to a Super

Unless a godthing steps into the light, its existence is
impossible to prove or disprove. Without an a priori probability
computation, we can't prove or disprove randomness. So corona
could be the result of intelligence. But without any messages
from the designer, it appears random, so treating it as random is
as good as anything else.

Gods like to send prophets to explain things. The last christian
prophet explained 'if you love your god, feed his sheep.' So for
a christian, the divine message is clear: your role in this is to
provide help and comfort as you can; it is never to nail people
to crosses.

"The vast bulk of real scientists in the world

They know.
A blast from the past.
Like, a week ago:

[me]:
Hey, I'd settle for a precise, detailed, and specific description
of what Andrew thinks "goo to you" is.

[Andrew]:
It is the fantasized origin myth held by our atheist friends.

Starting with their ~fantasized~ "first replicator". They say
we descended from this. They think that is where we came
from originally.

[me]:
Which part of "precise, detailed, and specific description" should I have typed more slowly?

Throwing in an undefined buzzword followed by a hand waving and-then-the-rest-followed
is a joke. It's not even a decent half-assed attempt at evading the question.

So try again: let's have detailed, step at a time, all terms defined explanation
of what it is *you* think that evolutionary biologists say.

So, how's about that detailed, step at a time, all terms defined explanation of what it is *you* think
that evolutionary biologists say?

Because <first replicator ...................... you> is just a teensy bit sketchy.

Real soon now?

It's a very powerful mechanism too. No matter now involved,
complex, or poorly understood a phenomenon, you simply
apply the Goddidit mechanism, and <POOF!>, it's explained.

For example:

How in the world could obligate parasites which cannot live outside your body,
such as tapeworms, trichinosis roundworms, the malaria plasmodium,
the sleeping sickness trypanosome, and so many others,
how could they arisen if they never could have been free living organisms?

That's an extremely difficult one to explain you say? Well, watch and learn:

GODDIDIT!!!

See? Impressive, eh?

Now go ye and do likewise.

Who is "they"? Name some names.
Andrew's been challenged about that lie many times.
I can't recall that he came up with a single name.

Off the top of my head and without looking, I can think of three.
(in fact I've tried to clue Andrew in on each of them, but that sank without a trace every time)

Without looking and off the top of my head I can think of ... let me think ... two dozen
who ... well, not who support this "goo to you" idea, because Andrew refuses to tell us
what the hell that even means, but two dozen who are well known researchers into
evolutionary biology.

(one of whom thinks got got life started in the beginning, then sat back to watch)

In any event, good luck on getting Andrew to name names. It's impossible to embarrass
him into attempting a reply, because Andrew doesn't embarrass. It's his secret superpower.
That and a lightning departure when necessary.

Here's your problem. You are unable to think for yourself;
which is why you try to send me to the High Priests of your

Here's your problem Andrew, you think that real science as agreed upon by virtually every scientist, is fantasy despite the team's of evidence collected over 150 + years and the benefits that ToE has brought to many other science disciplines.

YOU are the one who runs away from the important questions.

And yet bewilderingly, Teresita, when I invited Andrew to demonstrate his
understanding of the mechanism of this "biological information" -- but not
in any great depth, more like a week two pop quiz in a Genetics 101 class,
to wit:

So express this in words for us:

ATGTTATTGCTTCTCCTACTGTTATTGCTTCTCCTACTGTGA

(helpful hint: eukaryotes and Archaea only)

Extra credit: tell us what this says:

AUGUUAUUGCUUCUCCUACUGUUAUUGCUUCUCCUACUGUGA

and why it's different.

he had apparently skipped class that day.

It's very puzzling.

"Biological information", which, like "the known laws of science", "specified information",
"biological proteins", and other meaningless rote phrases we are forbidden to ask about...

"In every living thing"... In the trichinosis roundworm, in the sleeping sickness trypanosome,
in the malaria protozoan, in the tuberculosis bacterium, the tapeworm, the heartworm ...
even in your own cells, as the COVID-19 uses it to make countless more copies of itself.

As the God you believe in knew from the Beginning it would be.

Right?

Atheism is nonbelief in gods.

It applies to nothing else.
If atheists accept the evidence from scientific research it's because the evidence has passed peer review and it's convincing.

The "evidence" you provide is not evidence as commonly understood.

A scientific theory is not just a claim, it's observation and testing that then give rise to a theory.

There is no such thing as "just a theory" in science.
A theory is an idea based on reality through observation and experimentation. It is a fact that no other claim about the variation of life over time has ever been able to refute ToE. There is no other "theory" at all from any other source. ID has no theory, it is simply a claim unsupported by ANY evidence.

That the origin of life can't be explained yet is o my because the evidence has not been found. Once upon a time science didn't know how small pix worked, now we do and as a result, we now have vaccinations to prevent the disease.

What evidence exists for ID?
What is the theory of ID?
What testing has given evidence of ID?

Atheists are often science-minded people.
That I notice, but they are not true *freethinkers*,
because they without question, gullibly follow the
consensus into the land of pseudoscience fantasy.
We will do fine.
That was so poetically stupid. Why does science frighten you? Are
you that terrified of having your personal beliefs disproved?
His personal belief and his pixie have been disproved by themselves from day one...although they continue to con the fools!!!!
People like Andrew greatly doubt their religious beliefs. They need
to convince others that they are true. This either convinces them or
it proves they're trying to sucker us into something they don't really
believe themselves.

The frightened trolls keep writing in to ask if the virus has killed me off.
It hasn't. It prefers to eat trolls who congregate in religious groups and
pass the virus to each other.

Oh, that was just a short-term deal, a loss leader to suck us in.

God never intended it to last, that's why he prominently displayed
The Tree smack dab "in the midst of the garden", told Adam and Eve
"No no no" -- while at the same time blocking them from understanding
that to disobey was evil -- and then sat back to watch the fun: Satan
sauntering in, the whole scene playing out just the way God knew it would.

As a God story, it's pretty sad.

As a metaphor for the experiences we all go through, from babyhood
through childhood into adulthood, it's quite splendid.

The "never die" part above is obviously referring to

We have no evidence that it was ever alive; good evidence, of
which we have none, would include:

- Contemporaneous writings of non-anonymous eye-witnesses.
- Contemporaneous official Roman governmet records about
the miracle worker.
- Contemporaneous other government records about the miracle
worker in Palestine.
- Today, [imaginary] Jesus himself appears and tells us.
- Verifiable evidence of miracles/devils/angels/heaven/hell/etc existing.

We've got none of that.

There is no verifiable evidence of any god(s). None whatsoever.
Christian: a person afraid of a perpetually hiding [imaginary] god.
Extortion (Believe or Burn) is _THE_ foundation of Christianity.

But the truth is that He DID rise!
And the earth shook and rocks split and zombie saints roamed the streets and

and nobody at the time thought it remarkable enough to jot down a note to that effect.

Ever notice how Matthew's stories are so much more ... colorful ... than Mark or Luke's?

The later Bible writers just copied the first one, then added new stuff to it
and deleted some old stuff. Tsk.

Whenever Andyroo writes his glory, amen nonsense, I can imagine him
jumping around the room in his undies, like the guy in the movie.

So far, so good.
So many folks are under great stress right now.

Reminds me of what Jesus said.

"Do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we
drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all
these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need
them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and
all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not
worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own."

I believe in reality.
From your perspective, but there is a whole lot more. Yes!

If you would simply ask Jesus, I know that He would help you
to be more kind to other people.
