<In addition, a special provision in the Indian constitution (article 370)
enables the state government to prohibit purchase of land, in the Muslim
majority area, by Hindus from other parts of India.>

My dear Carlos,

You posted the article (including the excerpt aboove) under which you added
Jai Hind. Does this mean you agree with all the article says ?

Here are a few questions I ask. If you know the answers, please enlighten us
.... we can continue the debate privately ...if you wish

1. Have you read Article 370 of the Indian Constitution? Does it "enable the
state government to prohibit purchase of land, in the Muslim majority area,
by HINDUS from other parts of India"

1b. Are you (assuming that you are a Christian) can BUY property in Kashmir?

2. Is Kashmir a disputed area? If so why?

2b. What were the terms agreed upon for the Accession of Kashmir?

2c. Was that a Contract?

2d. Is it OK to modify the terms of a contract without the consent of BOTH
of the parties?

2e. What has been the decision of the Kashmir Legislature wrt Art 370?

2f. In a democracy, what role does the State Legislature have in deciding
the future of a people?

3. In Kashmir, is it true that the people would like to preserve the
Kashmiriness of Kashmir & hence only allow Kashmiris (and those with Kashmiri
permanent resident certificates) to buy property in Kashmir?

3b. Has there been a racket with hundreds of non-state subjects having
secured permanent resident certificates through dubious means?

3c. Was a Commission set up to study the cases of those who obtained
fraudulent permanent resident certificates?

3d. Is it true that that Commission recommended the termination of the state
subject status attained by the accused on the basis of fraud?

3e. Is it true that most of the complaints 9to the Commission) about these
fraudulently obtained certificates came from the Jammu and Kathua regions
which are "Hindu" regions of Kashmir?

3f. Is there FRAUD going on in Goa - where Gujratis, Punjabis, Biharis and
others are obtaining BOGUS domicile certificates?

3g. Is it true that some of them have even visited the Catholic cemeteries
in Goa and "taken over" the identities of Goan Catholics?

3h. Is it true that Many of these have then secured notarised certificates
that they were Portuguese Nationals on december 19, 1961?

3i. Is it true that most of these FAKE Catholic Goans are now illegally
settled in the UK and France?

3j. Is it true that because of this GENUINE Goan applicants for Portuguese
Nationality (which is their right) are being stifled?

3k. Is it true that GENUINE holders of Indian Certificates are considered
"suspect"?

3l. Is it possible that Kashmiris do NOT want what happened to Goa, to
happen in Kashmir?

(please read the excerpt of DEAD MEN FLYING on http://www.colaco.net )

BTW: I believe the following

1. The law should be fair and equitable. If the laws are the same for EVERY
citizen of a country, then

a: Kashmir should be open to ALL citizens

b. However, IF a contract has been signed before the Accession of Kashmir,
it should be honoured.

c. If Kashmiris do not allow Goans to buy land in Kashmir, Kashmiris should
be barred from holding land in Goa.

How about that ?!

Prezado Senhor Jose,

It was nice chatting with you privately. As I said earlier, you are one
of the few ones over here who do not get personal. It shows maturity.
May be because we have roots to a common village in Goa.

a. I agree. Kashmir should have been open to all citizens as in Goa.
If this had happened, ground realities today would have been different.

b. Hell with the contract (sorry to say that). The sub continent should
not have been partitioned based on religion. Who got a better deal?

c. I fully agree.

Mog asundi and Jai Hind as usual!

number of friends who are goan catholics(or claim to
be!), but until now I had no idea they could be
fake!!!!

RESPONSE: This would apply to those who assume Catholic identity - as
opposed to 'Cafeteria Catholics' who pick and choose which tenets of
the faith they like. The fake ones are those that commit identity
theft! Elementary my dear fellow.

I want to make some clarifications on my earlier posting on name
calling:

There is a difference between Kinky and Chinky eyes. I work with a
Chinese friend and he has no issue on the first word.

Also, Cafetaria catholics can be defined in a much simpler way as the
ones who have a cup of coffee just before the Sunday Mass and receive
Holy communion.
Taliban Goans (the extremist, militants who are dreaming for a separate
homeland. Watch out! Bush is watching you. You may end up in Guatanamo
bay).

Jai Hind as always.

RESPONSE:-
Defination of kinky:-

# Tightly twisted or curled: kinky hair.
# Slang. Showing or appealing to bizarre or deviant tastes, especially
of a sexual or erotic nature: "his appetite for kinky filmmaking,
unmitigated by any artistry" (John Simon).

Defination of Chinky:-
1. To make narrow openings in.
2. To fill narrow openings in.

Both are equally repugnant the latter refering to Chinese people's
eyes and the former well....I guess deviants rule okay!

Please don't try to justify - just say sorry and let's move on.

American Goan (the world's best, even better than the best brand
available. Bush wanted to become one but was denied)
Portuguese Goan (2nd best to American Goans, because of them we might
be going to Heaven)
Kuwaiti Goan (Oh yes)
Iraqi Goan (looks little bit like Saddam, but not exactly)
Chinese Goan (the ones with kinky eyes)
African Goan (my friend's father-in law's brother's son)
and so on.
I made up some of these too for future use.
Then there are others like

Lapiao
Joao
Botler
Then the better ones still
Macapao (Maka Pao Di) (you know we cannot live without bread)
Goanese (better still)

But all these great guys originate from a place now called India, have

I think Halur was only making a humorous comment on Fake Goans because
lots of labels have been used in this forum. Halur could confirm this
if he wishes.
I think Fake Goans is the latest one on this forum.
We heard of
Hindu Goan (our cousins)
Muslim Goan (cousins they claim)
Catholic Goan (the best brand on Earth)
Sardaji Goan(the one who got married to my cousin, nice guy though)
Aryan Goan (the ones who walked and walked all the way to South Asia)
Dravidian Goan, also one of my cousins ( the smart ones, the software
geeks)
Punjabi Goan (no comment)
Lalu Goan (the corrupt selfish ones)
Taliban Goan (the militants, extremist)
Half Goan (100/2/1/1)
1/4 Goan
1/8 th Goan (100/12/1/1/1)
American Goan (the world's best, even better than the best brand

RESPONSE: This would apply to those who assume Catholic identity - as
opposed to 'Cafeteria Catholics' who pick and choose which tenets of
the faith they like. The fake ones are those that commit identity
theft! Elementary my dear fellow.

How does one identify FAKE Catholic Goans? I have a number of friends who
are goan catholics(or claim to be!), but until now I had no idea they could
be fake!!!!

Dear Halur,

Thank You for asking.

Am heppy to clarify.

These individuals are neither Goan nor Catholic. These are Gujratis,
Bhaiyyas, Sardars et al who got FAKE certificates that they are the Catholic
Goans (who incidently lie in the cemeteries of Goa) i.e. They are FAKE
Catholic Goans.

JC: However, IF a contract has been signed before the Accession of Kashmir,
it should be honoured.

in response the following From: carlos6143 at aol.com

Carlos: Hell with the contract (sorry to say that). The sub continent should
not have been partitioned based on religion. Who got a better deal?

======

Mogal Carlos,

The choice to go to hell is a very personal one, and legal. However, the
choice to send a Signed Contract is neither personal nor legal.

BTW (and this is my last public submission on this topic), I am begining to
to wonder How much you know about the India you claim to Jai Jai so much.

What has "who got the better deal" got to do with the Hindu Kashmiris from
the Jammu area concerned about illegal Kashmiri residency certificates
obtained by non-Kashmiris?

Anyway...that is it from me on this topic.

What is a contract?

A contract is an agreement between two or more persons (individuals,
businesses, organizations or government agencies) to do, or to refrain from
doing, a particular thing in exchange for something of value.

The terms of the contract - the who, what, where, when, and how of the
agreement - define the BINDING promises of each party to the contract.

Mario asks the mythical Halur Rasho:
Halur, my dear fellow, I wonder whether this
"elementary" definition - in the definer's own words -
has increased or decreased your anxiety, because it
sounds like a distinction without much of a
difference.

With due deference to the author of the old adage,
"People who live in religious cafeterias should
perhaps keep their fake stones in their pockets", if
you know what I mean.

Since most religions, even the "religion" assumed by
our intrepid scientists (which they will stoutly
deny), are based on large doses of faith (hypotheses
that can never be proven is the scientific
equivalent), is a discussion of comparative religious
superiority ever anything more than an excercise in
futility?

With due deference to the author of the old adage,

Since most religions, even the "religion" assumed by
