Post by s***@gmail.comPost by FutbolmetrixOrigi with the early goal for Liverpool. Barcelona at sixes and sevens in dealing with the Liverpool press
So...
- No question who the best team in this competition is, and who should win the final
Still think Man City and LFC are #1 and #2 in Europe this season. Barcelona was a questionable second candidate for #2, but as we saw today, they have two problems:
1) One-man team
2) Crumble under pressure like Belvita cookie (but taste pretty good)
Post by s***@gmail.com- well deserved over both legs
- but, Dembele, if you score...
But Mane if you scored in the first leg. Or Salah. Ifs and buts belong in parallel universes.
Post by s***@gmail.com- Barca lacks an edge, power, steel to make it past the last rounds
- Barca needs to recruit better than Dembele and especially Coutinho. Especially Coutinho looked nominally the perfect transfer, but he dulls the left side when he plays there
Dembele is a phenomenal talent, but he can't stay fit. Coutinho is a rat bastard and a schadenfreude queen. I hope he ends up at Chelsea or Atletico or something like that.
Post by s***@gmail.com- Didn't like the booing of LS, after all he almost dragged this club to a title
I agree, and most LFC fans don't harbor the same ill sentiments for him that they do for Cuntinho. But he makes it so easy with his antics. I'm sure it'll be forgotten and he'll still be remembered fondly at Anfield.
Post by s***@gmail.com-no Messi today. I don't remember seeing him so anonymous in ages. No space because of the high line of Liverpool, and whenever he had the ball 2, 3 players were on him. If he dropped back he found outlets, but Liverpool was always back fast enough
- Barca desperately need someone with pace on the left and/or center
Yep. They missed Dembele.
Post by s***@gmail.com- when will Klopp follow Suarez and Coutinho? ;)
Never. Klopp is a man of romance, spirit, endeavor, and adventure, he isn't swayed by shallow earthly desires like money and prestige.
As besides he's German - bad weather and bad food don't faze him :-)
Post by s***@gmail.comGood news is I can plan for a bus tour this spring :D
Match tix are already at 4 G-notes, and that doesn't include air, lodging, and merriment. It's looking like 6-8K all in for us USians.
Or I could just head down the street back to this place, where my heart was shattered into a thousand pieces last May: https://www.facebook.com/BootRoomNYC/
