Just yesterday I thought about Stern's for the first time in ages. I bought the two bookcases which flank my computer desk there over 40 years ago. Another coincidence is my cousin worked there and, again yesterday, there was a reference to the NYC restaurant One If By Land, Two If By Sea where his brother played the piano in the novel I'm currently reading.
