A Letter to non-Muslims

Dear Reader,

the truth is. Islam teaches that God has given us the FACULTY OF REASON and
therefore expects man to reason things out objectively and systematically

1. A medical encyclopedia published in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A., mentions
Prophet Muhammads name (pbuh) among those famous people who were EPILEPTIC.

2. A church publication in 1981 mentions the rise of Islam in its early
Period in the following words:
"The moral looseness of the new faith, the might of the sword, the
fanaticism of the new religion, the shrewdness of Muhammad, the hope of
plunder, the love of wealth, the idea of a sensual paradise have been among
the causes for the spread of Islam which today embraces one sixth of the
world's population."

3. A fourth grade history text book published in U.S.A. has an article about
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) with the title, "A CAMEL DRIVER".

The same article tells children 9 to 10 years of age about the status of
women in Islam in the following words: "they believe that women should be
slaves to men and that they thought a man might have as many wives as he
wished, all at one time."

The author tells children about the spread of Islam, "...very soon they
began to force others to become Moslems whether they wanted or not. Like the
highway robber who says, "Money or your life", they gave everyone a choice,
"Money or your life, or be a Muslim."

Is it fair that one should form an opinion about the taste of a particular
dish just by heresay from others who may themselves not necessarily have
tasted the dish yet? Similarly, you should FIND OUT for yourself about Islam
from RELIABLE SOURCES and not only taste it...digest it well before you form
an opinion.
That would be an INTELLECT approach to Islam.

It is up to you to make the next move - to realise the truth, reality and
purpose of your existance. In making your move, Islam continuously reassures
you that your rights to freedom of choice and freedom to use that GOD GIVEN
FACULTY OF THOUGHT AND REASON will be respected. Every man has that
individual will. No one else can take away that will and force you to

These two statements cannot be consistent if the Qur'an is the 'truth'.

I began to read some aspects of Islam as I was doing a Ceramics study
in the early 1980's
There are texts these days that give other information as well as the
subject being studied.
such a cultural, religious, geographical and historical aspects of the
topic.
It was in that reading I was alerted to the fact that Muhamamed had
quoted Biblical
information but contrary to the New Testament original.
The statement was that Muhammed had said that Jesus had predicted him
because Jesus had said that another was coming after him 'whose
shoelaces
he was unworthy to unloose'. However in Luke 3 : 16 of the New
Testament
John the Baptist, the cousin of Jesus is stated to have said those
words of Jesus.
John the Baptist had spoken those words about 600 years before
Muhammed
had given his statement.

That quote is one of about 82% of quotes in the Qur'an that are either
the same or
a little different from the parallel verses in the Bible. Old and New
Testaments.
I would believe that the 82% could be correct from the Suras I have
read and have
scanned.
As Muhammed was alone in the cave when he said gabriel had spoken with
him
what proof is there that he was telling the truth?.

nations
of the world. .

I have not followed the aid provided to Islamic countres.
From my reading I am aware that some sects of Islam are more peace-
loving
than others. depending on whether their main scrptures come from
Mohammed's teachings in Mecca or Medina.

"The moral looseness of the new faith, the might of the sword, the
fanaticism of the new religion, the shrewdness of Muhammad, the hope of
plunder, the love of wealth, the idea of a sensual paradise have been among
the causes for the spread of Islam which today embraces one sixth of the
world's population."

3. A fourth grade history text book published in U.S.A. has an article about
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) with the title, "A CAMEL DRIVER".

The same article tells children 9 to 10 years of age about the status of
women in Islam in the following words: "they believe that women should be
slaves to men and that they thought a man might have as many wives as he
wished, all at one time."

The author tells children about the spread of Islam, "...very soon they
began to force others to become Moslems whether they wanted or not. Like the
highway robber who says, "Money or your life", they gave everyone a choice,
"Money or your life, or be a Muslim."

Is it fair that one should form an opinion about the taste of a particular
dish just by heresay from others who may themselves not necessarily have
tasted the dish yet? Similarly, you should FIND OUT for yourself about Islam
from RELIABLE SOURCES and not only taste it...digest it well before you form
an opinion.
That would be an INTELLECT approach to Islam.

Islam growing fast in America

In the US, where Muslims number over six million, the Islamic faith has in
many estimates surpassed Judaism and is believed to be the second largest
religion in America. Anayat Durrani profiles some new US converts to Islam

Islam, a religion that was for centuries believed to have been spread by
the sword is currently the fastest growing religion in the United States
and in the world. Adherents to the Islamic faith number 1.2 billion
worldwide. And growing In the United States, where Muslims number over six
million, the Islamic faith has in many estimates surpassed Judaism and is
believed to be the second largest religion in America after Christianity.
While part of the rise in the population of Muslims in the United States is
due to immigration, the phenomenal growth of Islam in the past 10 years has
come from an increasing number of Americans converting to Islam from other
religions.

Muslim leaders estimate that half the number of American converts to Islam
come from the African-American community. Twenty-two-year-old Leslie Jordan
is a recent convert to Islam. "I decided that I wanted to convert to a
religion whose beliefs were like mine and whose practices would compliment
the life I wanted to lead and help to exemplify my beliefs." Jordan, who
changed her name to Thanaa ("thankfulness"), studied Islam for seven months,
often cross-referencing with the Talmud and Bible. She was convinced that
Islam was the truth. "Conversion for me has not been too difficult as I have
truth in the verses of the Holy Qur'an and in the Hadith."

Islam continues to draw followers at an estimated rate of 135,000 converts
per year. During the Gulf War alone, it was reported that approximately
3,000 Americans converted to Islam.

American women make up the second largest group of converts to Islam. Dani
Black converted to Islam in March of 1997. Originally a Catholic, Black
studied one religion after another, from Buddhist to Pentecostal. She
remained unsatisfied until her search led her on the path to Islam.
"Finally, Allah (SWT) made a way for me to find the truth." Black, who now
goes by the name of Khadijah, said her husband converted to Islam shortly
after she did. "We both are very happy."

At the rate that Islam is spreading, demographers predict that by the year
2025 one out of four people in the world will be Muslim.

Forty-eight-year-old Everett Ferguson, now Luqman Abdullah-Wajid, was
introduced to Islam at the age of 20. In his youth, Abdullah-Wajid did not
follow any religion nor did he believe in God. "As I studied Islamic
beliefs, I was struck by how they were in harmony with reason," he says.
"Islams clarity, logic, and authenticity leave me feeling very grateful."

The increase in the number of American Muslims may be a result of the
presence of more mosques and Islamic centers that are sprouting up in
several cities across the United States. There are approximately 2,000
mosques, Islamic centers and schools in the country. Non-Muslims are often
invited to mosques and Islamic centers where they are provided with
information about Islam.

James was raised a Baptist and during his childhood attended Baptist,
Lutheran and Methodist churches. While in law school, he accompanied a
classmate and attended Catholic church. It wasnt until his 30s that James
says he began to study religion seriously. "I studied briefly with the
Original Hebrew Israelites, before getting a copy of the Holy Quran," he
says. "After reading it, I was touched in my soul and many of the questions
that I had throughout my life were answered. I knew that I had to make a
decision." At the age of 33, a Muslim co-worker took James for a visit to a
local mosque. "I was so moved that I took my shahada right then and there."

Converting to a new faith is not always a smooth transition. The
difficulties new Muslims face after conversion often arise from family and
friends. For Thanaa, her conversion was not easily accepted. "The most
difficult part for me has been trying to explain my choice to change to
family and friends who are not familiar with what Islam is really about."
Thanaa says that only her mother, sister and boyfriend have accepted her
conversion. James also experienced similar difficulties when he became a
Muslim. He says that his wife is the only one in his family with misgivings
about his decision. "My wife, who is still Christian, still does not
understand why I converted, and was upset. Inshallah, Allah will soften her
heart."

Islams increasing numbers in recent years could be a sign that attempts at
educating the American public about Islam by several American-based Muslim
organizations have been working. For many years, Islam was not as well
represented in the Judeo-Christian society of the United States. However, in
recent years several organizations such as the Council on American-Islamic
Relations (CAIR), and the American Muslim Council (AMC), among several
others, have been successful in reaching the media and educating Americans
about the real Islam.

The continued growth in the number of converts to Islam should finally put
to rest the myth that Islam was ever spread by the sword. The great number
of adherents to the Islamic faith is evidence enough of Islams powerful
message.

"Becoming a Muslim is the best thing that has happened in my life," James
says.

Americans Are Hell-Bent on Tyranny

December 22, 2009 "Information Clearing House" -- Obamas dwindling band of
true believers has taken heart that their man has finally delivered on one
of his many promises--the closing of the Guantanamo prison. But the prison
is not being closed. It is being moved to Illinois, if the Republicans
permit.

In truth, Obama has handed his supporters another defeat. Closing Guantanamo
meant ceasing to hold people in violation of our legal principles of habeas
corpus and due process and ceasing to torture them in violation of US and
international laws.

All Obama would be doing would be moving 100 people, against whom the US
government is unable to bring a case, from the prison in Guantanamo to a
prison in Thomson, Illinois.

Are the residents of Thomson despondent that the US government has chosen
their town as the site on which to continue its blatant violation of US
legal principles? No, the residents are happy. It means jobs.

The hapless prisoners had a better chance of obtaining release from
Guantanamo. Now the prisoners are up against two US senators, a US
representative, a mayor, and a state governor who have a vested interest in
the prisoners permanent detention in order to protect the new prison jobs
in the hamlet devastated by unemployment.

Neither the public nor the media have ever shown any interest in how the
detainees came to be incarcerated. Most of the detainees were unprotected
people who were captured by Afghan war lords and sold to the Americans as
terrorists in order to collect a proffered bounty. It was enough for the
public and the media that the Defense Secretary at the time, Donald
Rumsfeld, declared the Guantanamo detainees to be the 780 most dangerous
people on earth.

The vast majority have been released after years of abuse. The 100 who are
slated to be removed to Illinois have apparently been so badly abused that
the US government is afraid to release them because of the testimony the
prisoners could give to human rights organizations and foreign media about
their mistreatment.

Our British allies are showing more moral conscience than Americans are able
to muster. Former PM Tony Blair, who provided cover for President Bushs
illegal invasion of Iraq, is being damned for his crimes by UK officialdom
testifying before the Chilcot Inquiry.

The London Times on December 14 summed up the case against Blair in a
headline: Intoxicated by Power, Blair Tricked Us Into War. Two days later
the British First Post declared: War Crime Case Against Tony Blair Now
Rock-solid. In an unguarded moment Blair let it slip that he favored a
conspiracy for war regardless of the validity of the excuse [weapons of mass
destruction] used to justify the invasion.

The movement to bring Blair to trial as a war criminal is gathering steam.
Writing in the First Post Neil Clark reported: There is widespread contempt
for a man [Blair] who has made millions [his reward from the Bush regime]
while Iraqis die in their hundreds of thousands due to the havoc unleashed
by the illegal invasion, and who, with breathtaking arrogance, seems to
regard himself as above the rules of international law. Clark notes that
the Wests practice of shipping Serbian and African leaders off to the War
Crimes Tribunal, while exempting itself, is wearing thin.

In the US, of course, there is no such attempt to hold to account Bush,
Cheney, Condi Rice, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and the large number of war
criminals that comprised the Bush Regime. Indeed, Obama, whom Republicans
love to hate, has gone out of his way to protect the Bush cohort from being
held accountable.

Here in Great Moral America we only hold accountable celebrities and
politicians for their sexual indiscretions. Tiger Woods is paying a bigger
price for his girlfriends than Bush or Cheney will ever pay for the deaths
and ruined lives of millions of people. The consulting company, Accenture
Plc, which based its marketing program on Tiger Woods, has removed Woods
from its Web site. Gillette announced that the company is dropping Woods
from its print and broadcast ads. AT&T says it is re-evaluating the companys
relationship with Woods.

Apparently, Americans regard sexual infidelity as far more serious than
invading countries on the basis of false charges and deception, invasions
that have caused the deaths and displacement of millions of innocent people.
Remember, the House impeached President Clinton not for his war crimes in
Serbia, but for lying about his
affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Americans are more upset by Tiger Woods sexual affairs than they are by the
Bush and Obama administrations destruction of US civil liberty. Americans
dont seem to mind that their government for the last 8 years has resorted
to the detention practices of 1,000 years ago--simply grab a person and
throw him into a dungeon forever without bringing charges and obtaining a
conviction.

According to polls, Americans support torture, a violation of both US and
international law, and Americans dont mind that their government violates
the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and spies on them without
obtaining warrants from a court. Apparently, the brave citizens of the sole
remaining superpower are so afraid of terrorists that they are content to
give up liberty for safety, an impossible feat.

With stunning insouciance, Americans have given up the rule of law that
protected their liberty. The silence of law schools and bar associations
indicates that the age of liberty has passed. In short, the American people
support tyranny. And thats where they are headed.
