I saw The Quiet Man on Turner Classics, the other night. Obviously a restored new version. Bought the Bluray it's excellent ....Olive Company.. The Amazon Recommended version...some say better restorations then Criterion. Maureen O'hara's red hair, in all it's splendor.

It has some great special features and full commentary.

Unfortunately, it arrived last year as a U.S. import and a $40 Blu-ray. I'll keep a lookout for a reasonably-priced copy on eBay.

It's this one...the Olive Signature edition:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K7J1X6S/

Saw it in the card slipcase as a $40 US import.

The prices on U.S. imports have gone insane here, (e.g., $48 CDN for the Hitchcock/Truffaut Blu-ray). Our last remaining movie/music retailer went bankrupt last week, probably due to such sticker shock.

We have Turner and other HD movie streaming services (most American releases are available, but the content is ultimately tailored for Canadian distribution licensing). I prefer iTunes for HD rentals, as the quality is excellent.
