If Lexi stays in Ambridge and gets a job at Grey Gables, are we going
to get a topical story on the rights of EU workers and the uncertainty
of the people who have been here for more than 5 years and those who
have arrived since the referendum?

Probably. But this as nothing to what POV was presenting in regard to
Enders this afternoon. Sounds like SOC has upped the anti. Probably
encouraged by his success in TA. I so wish I could be deluded about my
talents; even half as much.

Fortunately, I am legally obliged to ignore anything to do with
Stenders. Or any other telly offerings the BBC provides.

Well, fyi, the gist on pov was that the storylines had risen to a
ridiculous level of disasters of various sorts arriving in a deluge. They
listed them but I don't watch EE so can't recall the sort of events
complained about. Smacked of the hand of soc to me.

We were in the US so missed the episodes but I gather they featured a
gas explosion, arson and a shooting. In consequence there seem to be
many scenes in the local hospital and this is being followed up with a
plotline on Brugada syndrome. SOC left EE in June so hopefully this is
just the last of his reign and things will settle down a bit.

Yes but because it is Rita and a brain tumour killed one of her husbands
we know she will be OK. Far more run with the double wedding (which I
have not yet seen).

The reference to the legal obligation is a clue. I believe that Fenny
chooses not to have a TV licence and, as a result, isn't allowed to
watch any BBC TV, even through iPlayer.

I chose not to have a telly, and not having a licence is a mere
epiphenomenon.

I thought that was hyperbole on Fenny's part. If that is really the
reason, then - unfair as it may seem - it's not just the BBC's offerings
you're obliged to avoid if you don't have a licence; ITV ones too.

Not entirely. You need a licence to watch any broadcast programmes on a
TV but, if you're only watching via the computer, you only need a
licence for BBC stuff.

The BBC have closed the "loophole" of people being able to watch on
catch up via iplayer. However, this doesn't apply to the catch up
services on other channels.

But I don't watch UK terrestrial television at all. What I do watch
is online subscription streaming services - currently repeats of SG-1
and just started the excellent Tin Star. Last night I watched The
Terminator, but was most hacked off that Terminator 2 is not available
yet Terminator 3 and 5 are.

So it might improve.

It's also very much like universities these days although the job titles
there are not quite as funny.
I particularly liked the Depts that had been unrealised.
Anyone else see the parody presented as a lib dem party political tonight
(Weds).

He might try W1A?
Should fit right in. So that's all good.

Another 'catchphrase' from the programme - well worth a look.
I'm not being funny or anything...
OK. Cool.
<g>
Great. Super.
(I haven't watched any of W1A - from all the accounts of how good it is,
I suspect I might find it painful!)
No pain, no gain... I haven't watched either but I'm sure that that has
also been flogged....err... said.

If Lexi stays in Ambridge and gets a job at Grey Gables, are we going
to get a topical story on the rights of EU workers and the uncertainty
of the people who have been here for more than 5 years and those who
have arrived since the referendum?
Or at least a conversation with Woy on the subject ....... OP it, Fenny,
you know it makes sense.

Sincerely Chris
