I am sick of getting summaries of content in this group referring to 'meet girls for...'

I left the group because of this, and unsubscribed from the mailing list, but am still getting at least one and often more daily.

When I try once again to unsubscribe, the server tells me I am not a member and cannot unsubscribe.

Would an admin please remove me.

I am not sure where the messages are coming from, but it is not GEN-MEDIEVAL. According to the archives, only three messages have been sent out since the beginning of March. (And it is not even clear those have gone out - I never received them.) Likewise, the address you used for this post is not subscribed. It could be that a spammer has 'captured' the headers from an authentic post and is now 'spoofing' them, but I have not heard of anyone else having this problem, and if this is the case there is absolutely nothing you can do to make the messages stop, short of abandoning that email address. You can train your Gmail to treat the messages as spam, but that is likely to affect legitimate messages.
