Many people have no care at all about wild animals or trophy hunters. Look at the Minn. dentist who killed Cecil the popular lion. After the early outrage died down, he has opened his practice again. The Trump kids are trophy hunters. People like that have not a shred of decency in them. But then look how many people so easily kill other people and their only fear is getting caught. Not everybody has a conscience and without one, there are no limits to what they will do. Gentry paid a big fine, was barred from hunting for a few years and forfeited the bear's carcass. He apologized to his fans and no doubt that was the end of it for them. He was a very good-looking guy and good singer\entertainer. I'm sure his partner Eddie Montgomery is stunned.
