That price is for 6, which doesn't seem that outrageous. While there were
cheaper mail-order sources in the past, I recall paying closer to $8-$10
each off the shelf at the likes of OfficeMax if I needed one Right Now.

You want C. Itoh printer ribbons. The ImageWriter I and II use this same
type of ribbon.
