Apologies...

Hey,
I have to apologize to the 4 or 5 folks that expressed concern about the lack of KansasFest news that I've been providing for ... I don't actually remember how many years. Sorry.

I started doing it in an effort to get many of you here to participate in this great event. Because it seemed like it was dying. And that sucked. 28 participants at the low point. This year we maxed out our contract limits at 100! We'll certainly negotiate a higher limit next year!

So this year, instead of spending 30-60 min. of Prime Time here typing up a summary of the days event, I chilled and just visited a few more people, laughed at a few more shenanigans and had a bit more fun.

Honestly, this is why I come here, and have for the last 21 years in a row.

So, KansasFest today appears strong and healthy. And full of brilliant participants and other folks like me, I'm not so fearful of it failing and leaving me stuck in Western Nebraska during the third week of July whimpering.

So, don't anticipate any further reports here from me. Watch the LiveStream on Youtube, On Twitter, search the #a2fest tag, or more profoundly, get your ass to KansasFest next year!

Oh, and do it early.

Just wanted to say THANK-YOU for the Live Streams on YouTube!

It is great to _finally_ be able to put a face to people here!

And of course the content is great. There have been quite a few topics I didn't think would interest me but after watching them people are doing all sorts of fun, neat, projects. It embodies the original "Apple 2 Hacker" spirit.

Glad to see that instead of dying KansasFest is doing the exact opposite. Not too communities, 40 years later, can say the same.

I have a few projects I've been working on and hope to be able to present them someday.

I definitely missed them, but I definitely missed them less than I would have any other year, due to YouTube, Twitter, etc. that you mentioned. No need to apologize: much better to get 30-60 minutes more of sleep and enjoy KansasFest more! :-)
