Hello, I need some help with our priv1.edb store. The old database
was very bloated, corrupt and would not run through a complete,
dismounted defragmentation or repair correctly from years of previous
employees never doing any maintenance. I exported all user email onto
each workstations hard drive as a .pst file. Then copied the old
priv1.edb file and priv1.stm files over for safe measure and created a
new blank priv1.edb file on the server. I then imported all the user
accounts email back into the priv1.edb and things are working great
with a few issues. I now get this message at the workstations:

Your mailbox has been temporarily moved on Microsoft Exchange Server.
A
temporary mailbox exists but might not have all of your previous data.
You
can connect to a temporary mailbox or work off line with all of your
old
data. If you choose to work with your old data, you cannot send or
receive e-mail messages.
Use temporary mailbox Use Old Data Cancel

We can connect to the temp mailbox and send and receive email, all our
saved messages, etc are there but I am not sure how to get rid of this
message so that outlook realizes we want to use the new temporary
mailbox as the permanent one. Can anyone help me out with this?

I did not. I did not realize I needed to do this. I am new to this
system. I will do a search on how to do this or if someone has a link
explaining this I would greatly appreciate it.

you may need to have everyone create a new Outlook profile...any reason you
did not just create a new mailbox store and move all the mailboxes to it?

Create a new Outlook profile for each user or disassociate the current
profiles OSTs.

Hi,

There are many third party tools which has the ability to perform conversion of the data from priv.EDB. On the basis of my testing I have liked a tool which does theis move of the emails present in priv.EDB to PST, RTF, HTML, Live Exchange Server or Office 365 formats in a comprehensive way. To know more features of the tool refer to http://www.edbtopstutility.com/

You may try this advance and popular exchange edb to pst converter software, this tool not only fixes the corrupted or damaged items in .edb files (both priv.edb and pub.edb) but also allows users to export priv1. edb data from these database to .pst files.

You just try the free trial version and get the results.
