Before our first Pathfinder game session, I watched

CHEATERS:
A woman catches her husband cheating on her with a fat white chick. The
followup segment was more interesting and featured the bride at the
wedding they interupted during the confrontation segment.

What did you watch?

Oh yeah, I also watched:

STAR TREK: VOYAGER:
"Pathfinder". Back on Earth, Barclay interacts with holograms of the Voyager
crew to formulate a daring plan to open communications with Voyager. Gawd,
this was terrible! For starters, they decided to rehash his holodeck addiction
thing but this time his holdeck was populated by fawning members of the
Voyager crew. Quite frankly, he seemed pathetic and it pissed me off.
Secondly, it's YAHE (Yet Another Holodeck Episode). Thirdly, how exactly does
Starfleet know Voyager's exact position in order to communicate with them?

In a previous episode, "Message in a Bottle" they were able to
communicate with Starfleet.

I was recording and watching Voyager for a while. I had *plans* to
watch them. Then I stopped watching but kept recording. Now I have
almost three dozen episodes saved to my DVR waiting for me to either
finish watching them or just delete them.

I watched:

Preacher - "Holes" - We spend more time with Eugene in Hell. I suspect
Hitler is being so nice to him because he sees Eugene as his way out.

Midnight, Texas - "Lemuel, Unchained" - For the first time ever in the
history of humanity, after a sports event ran late the network started
the program from the beginning and played the whole show! The overall
episode was mostly mediocre; dealing with a group of vampires coming to
town and causing trouble.

Snowfall - "seven-four" - Mostly background noise.

Queen of the South - "Solo el AMor de Una Madre" - Camila and Teresa
fight off of hit man.

Blood Drive - "A Fistful of Blood" - Already covered.

The Sinner - "Paul" - I think this was covered already. I guess it was
OK. I'll come back to see what happens next.

Trapped Sisters - Covered by Ian.

Wait, let me look over the list of watchable Voyager episodes and cull
...

Okay, delete all of them not named below:

Because nobody had yet read her log?

Besides which, she'd killed everyone in the Federation. These were
their replacements. Maybe in this timeline Janeway wasn't a genocidal
shrew.

Preacher - "Holes" - We spend more time with Eugene in Hell. I suspect
Hitler is being so nice to him because he sees Eugene as his way out.
Interesting details on Hell which included a look at their toilet paper
and a look at their only TV show (a show which people here watch
voluntarily I might add). Through it all, though, I couldn't help but
think that Dennis had the worst 'hell' of any of them and he is still
alive.

Over the last week or so I didn't see much on TV, but I did watch:

RED OAKS: Two season of this AmazonPrime show about a summer
tennis/golf/pool resort. Paul Reiser's character went in a somewhat
unexpected direction, though many of this series' characters are
irritating and sympathetic at the same time as they flounder for
direction. The show never did return to the debauchery of the pilot
even for a moment. Overall, an ok, but not great series.

THE GIRL FROM TRIESTE: A 1982 film starring Ben Gazzara (RUN FOR YOUR
LIFE) as an animator/cartoonist of some sort who dates a crazy woman
(Ornella Muti FLASH GORDON...oh no, not the bore worms!). I'm not sure
if this film was fiction or a documentary on Anim8r's life.

I couldn't find this anywhere but on the dark web (which Stitchers made
sound *really* dark this week). The poster makes Muti look more like
Persis Khambatta, and this may well be *way* more nude Ben Gazarra than
I possibly need, but I'm trying to grab it anyway (the movie, not the
nude Ben). Thanks!

I was recording and watching Voyager for a while. I had *plans* to
watch them. Then I stopped watching but kept recording. Now I have
almost three dozen episodes saved to my DVR waiting for me to either
finish watching them or just delete them.
Don't bother. Delete them.
And then send me Amazon drone ice cream.
Today's flavour is: Baked Alaska

"Pathfinder". Back on Earth, Barclay interacts with holograms of the
Voyager crew to formulate a daring plan to open communications with
Voyager. Gawd, this was terrible! For starters, they decided to rehash
his holodeck addiction thing but this time his holdeck was populated by
fawning members of the Voyager crew. Quite frankly, he seemed pathetic
and it pissed me off. Secondly, it's YAHE (Yet Another Holodeck Episode).
Thirdly, how exactly does Starfleet know Voyager's exact position in
order to communicate with them?
In a previous episode, "Message in a Bottle" they were able to
communicate with Starfleet.
You mean with the Romulan in the past? Also, I recall they leap-frogged a few

That Romulan died without ever relaying their message. Message in a
Bottle was the one where they beamed the Doctor on board a Federation
ship only to find it had been captured by Romulans and the only one
available to help is that's ship's hologram played by Andy Dick. I
actually know all of this from memory without needing to check. My head
is *full* of *useless* information like this!

Couldn't imagine anybody being able to ruin them, or anything having to

I dropped LOIS & CLARK halfway through, and I did the same with VOYAGER

weeks ago while doing some housecleaning on the DVR. (If my
"halfway-through" rule holds, that means SUPERGIRL has this and one
more season coming. Sorry about that.)

Enterprise actually got a *lot* better as it progressed.
But it never - *never* - with the possible exception of the first part,
and first part only, of the Mirror Mirror two parter, even remotely
approached any level of *good* - it only seemed better by comparison
with the more horrible stuff that went before, but it was garbage start
to finish. It only varied as to the amount of corn in the feces.

"It's been a looooooonnnng time
Since any Trek sucked this baaaad
It's been a loooooooonnnng time
Since Star Trek fans were so sad
But Enterprise, it's the worst Trek yet
It's shit on a stick
And anyone that thinks this mess is any good at all
Must be sucking Braga's tiny dick!"

The amazing thing is, STD looks to be worse:

which they weren't; Janeway was hopping willy nilly all over the
quadrant, stopping every time she saw something shiny, which almost
always resulted in the death(s) of crew members. There's no way
somebody on the crew wouldn't have assassinated her.

Shadowhunters (FF) -- The Downworlders are all sucking up to the
Seelie Queen because she can offer sanctuary from Valentine if it
comes to that. They hold a council meeting with the Shadowhunters
(Alec, Izzy, Jace, and Clary present) to inform them. Alec is
disappointed of course as this could be a breach of the accords and
lead once again to war. The Seelie Queen did inquire as to why Simon
was not with them. She seems to have a thing for him. Clary has a warm
embrace with Luke and Izzy and Raphael express feelings.

The Shadowhunters find the real Sebastion's body possessed by a demon
they dispatch. They tell the head of The Clave about the Mortal
Mirror. Valentine later knows about the Mirror so she is suspect as to
being the one that's feeding him intel.

Clary asks Simon to talk to the Queen about backing off. The Queen
later appears in the park in the form of Sarah Hyland and obviously
wants The Simon, but he rebuffs her.

The Warlocks have cast a spell preventing nonmundanes from leaving the
City in order to trap Valentine so he can be found. To locate
Valentine, Clary runes herself and makes Jace take off his shirt to
find a spot to rune him, which she does. All the runes glow and the
couple is smothered in golden light, until Jace breaks free.

Once the Dastardly Duo is located, Valentine convinces Jonathan to
stay behind and fight while he makes off. Jonathan has some Forsaken
with him and while everyone is slaying, Jonathan nabs Jace and drags
him with a chain around his neck. Clary sends Izzy to find Jace while
she and Alec deal with the remaining Forsaken.

Jonathan has Jace strung up on a bridge but Jace goads him into
fighting him. Jonathan swords him a good one and Jace is injured. Izzy
shows up just in time and bullwhips his ass. Jonathan grabs the whip
end and when Izzy lets the whole thing go, he falls back into the
sword Jace is holding. Jonathan plunges into the water below. Whether
he's dead dead or not, who knows.

Simon's worried as he finds Maia's phone but no Maia. Maia wakes up on
Idris surrounded by Seelie. That Queen wants her some Simon. Speaking
of the Queen, she meets with Valentine and when he whispers an offer
into her ear, she asks him to walk with her in the park. Seelies
cannot be trusted! Finale next time.

Stitchers (FF) -- Linus, Kirsten, and Cameron confront Ivy. Kirsten
and Cameron issue an ultimatum to Maggie over Kirsten's Mom. Maggie
and Quincy argue over whether Maggie should fill in Cameron and
Kirsten about Ivy. The case involves an internet site where you sign
up to have someone killed and in turn kill someone for someone else.
Linus accidentally signs Maggie up with himself to be the one offed.
The site turns out tro be run by a former CIA colleague of Maggie's
whom Maggie left behind on a mission. The woman is still upset about
that and surrenders herself just to get to Maggie. That doesn't end
well. Maggie agrees to allow Kristen to see her Mom. Linus has
developed a cure for Kirsten's sensitivity to oxytocin so Kirsten and
Cam do it like bunnies. Camille sings for her supper and Amanda's love
at the club. It works.

Chesapeake Shores (Hmrk) -- The season 2 opener. Trace has to return
to Nashville to deal with his part in the accident that maimed his
bandmember. Abby is buried in work after a new client dumps work at
the Baltimore office and she's the only one expert enough to deal with
it. It turns out, Dad may have sent the business in her direction.
Speaking of Dad, he's going to develop 100 acres in a trust on the
opposite shore before his brother can turn it into a sanctuary. He's
also taking his granddaughters back to school shopping and loving it.
Bree's miffed because her ex-boyfriend is almost completely rewriting
her play. Jess has overbooked the B&B and is freaking out. Dad has
already warned the clan not to help her out too much as she has to
learn. She rents out her own room at the B&B as well as Bree's cottage
next door to cover the overbooking, without telling Bree.

Raising the Bar (Netflix) -- A former American junior champion gymnast
(Kelli Berglund from Disney's Lab Rats), off her game, moves to
Australia with her mother. She agrees to help out a newly made friend
who wants to join her local team and ends up on the team herself and
competing against her former teammates in an international event.

Leaving a prisoner alone in a glass walled cage with an armed guard.
What could possibly go wrong?

I think the only thing that could make me like Anna's character less was
her falling for the song.

shows up just in time and bullwhips his ass.
Heh.

Jonathan grabs the whip
end and when Izzy lets the whole thing go, he falls back into the
sword Jace is holding. Jonathan plunges into the water below. Whether
he's dead dead or not, who knows.
By "soap opera rules", he's definitely not dead. :|

I like the Seelie Queen as a tween, but I want the Hyland version dead,
dead, dead - hopefully that happens in the finale...

I doubt we would have seen such a queen had she not been Jace's
(Sherwood's} RW girlfriend.

What did you watch?
I got through and completed the last of my current Netflix shows
yesterday, and I think I'll take a break on Netflix series for a little
while before tackling the next ones (prob. "Stanger Things")...

I watched:

The Worst Witch (The Netflix) - "The Worst Headmistress", the series 1
finale. I actually thought this finale was pretty good (it sort of
redeemed the penultimate epie, which I didn't like very much)... In
this episode, it's up to the girls, and separately Mildred who's back
home in Muggle-land and ignoring Maud's "calls", to rescue Cackle's
Academy from the EVOL!!1! Agatha and Miss Gullet. (This show makes the
Hectate Hardbroom/Snape copying "official", when Hectate is forced to
help Agatha and Gullet with their plans...) It looks like Agatha has
the upper hand when she neutralizes The Great Wizard. Can Mildred ride
in and save the day?! (Take a wild guess!!)
I liked this enough that I'll watch series 2, though I am not
thrilled that they have apparently recast with a new actress for Maud
in series 2... :/

soaps: DOOL - Gabi and Chad break up because of Red Abby - GAG!!
GH - Sam is starting to figure out that she shot Sonny, and I think
Sonny is starting to remember.

Wynonna Earp (recorded) - "Forever Mine Nevermind". Covered by others,
such as Ice. Pretty good episode. I didn't care for the revelation
about Rosita, though I can't say I'm surprised by it.

The Sinner (recorded) - The series premiere. Covered by others such as
Adam and Ice. I cared for this even less than they did. In fact, I'm
not going to bother to continue with this one - there's not a
compelling enough mystery here, and there are no likeable characters...
I'll probably just follow the series' progression here on the newsgroup
via others' reviews of the coming episodes.

Tha STITCHERS!!1! (SQUIGGLE!) - Covered by Ice... So, lemme get this
straight?! - You bring on Elaine Hendrix in a prominent guest role,
just so you can kill her off and never use her again??!!! WTF?!
P.S. I hate Anna Akana's character about 100x more than Fred does!!

The Cure of Sleeping Beauty (The Netflix) - Geezus, this was
*horrible*! While I have no doubt that there is a compelling
"revisionist" take on "Sleeping Beauty" out there somewhere, this sure
as heck wasn't it!! Multiple issues here, starting with too much
Natalie Hall and not enough India Eisley. But the ending of the film
was awful, and the film completely falls apart if you think about it
just for a second in light of the ending (i.e. this is an incredibly
ridiculous example of "idiot plotting"). And, here, the low-budget
didn't help anything. My recommendation: Avoid at all costs, even if
you like Eisley.

Recorded for later: Lego Star Wars..., Shadowhunters, Hooten & the
Lady, and Midnight, Texas.

I didn't recap Hooten as it didn't air locally being preempted by the
baseball. I can recap though if anyone wants me to as I have seen all
the episodes.

There's about two scenes where Eisley looks HOTT.
The rest can be totally ignored.

What did you watch?
STITCHERS / Kill It Forward / 3x09

"Quincy, are we trying to make this work or not?" she asks him as she
does exactly what she wants to do; does nothing to try to make it work;
offers nothing in the way of compromise; and expects him to drop
everything to follow her.

And hey, did anyone know that Allison Scagliotti could sing and play
guitar? Because I've never seen that before. Oh, wait. I guess what I
meant to ask was if we could be done with watching Allison Scagliotti
sing and play guitar on every show that she's ever on.

Meanwhile, when Allison isn't singing and playing guitar, we have an
armed NSA grunt with the apparent reaction time of a sloth, given that
Bad Gal manages to go from being cuffed and chained to a table to
spitting that hair pin (or whatever it was) into her hand and freeing
both of her hands from the cuffs and chains and moving into position to
attack the grunt, all before he can react at all. Maybe he was singing
and playing guitar, too. In his head. And really, that entire backstory
exchange between Maggie and Bad Gal was so cliché-ridden that it might
have been written in a grade school honors English class. I'll stick
around for the season finale, but I'll have to think long and hard about
coming back for season four -- if there even *is* a season four at this
rate.

PREACHER / Holes / 2x08

Jessie worries about the hole in his soul. Tulip wanders aimlessly,
patching bullet holes in walls and meeting neighbors. Cassidy watches
his son slowly die and considers his options and the hole in his heart.
Eugene learns what Hell is really like after being pushed into a hole in
the floor...after being too nice. Too much padding and filler made worse
by the fact that we saw nothing of the awesome antagonist introduced
last week.

MIDNIGHT, TEXAS / Lemuel, Unchained / 1x03

This came across as the first episode handled by the B-team after being
handed the reins by the A-team, which isn't unusual for a new show. The
problem is that the A-team itself was really more of a B-team. A perfect
example from this one was right after Manfred found the dead townie.
"They killed the hardware store guy," he tells the reverend, who then
shows absolutely no emotion, anger, doubt or anything else before
instantly replying, "His name was Henry. He was a good man. They lied.
They killed him." Just a poor effort all around and there were too many
moments like this one. The one saving grace is that Lemuel's gal pal has
the nicest set of legs that I've seen in quite a while. Damn nice, in fact.

I used to love STITCHERS. Now it just annoys me.

I did like that one where there were only the two of them running

I knew I recognized Bad Gal. She was Ms. Lizchak on JOAN OF ARCADIA.
Those eyes make her stand out from the crowd.

I knew I recognized Bad Gal. She was Ms. Lizchak on JOAN OF ARCADIA.
Those eyes make her stand out from the crowd.
Maybe that NSA grunt was just mesmerized by her eyes. :)

Too much padding and filler made worse
by the fact that we saw nothing of the awesome antagonist introduced
last week.
I'm sensing a hole in your soul.
It *is* shameful how much I was laughing throughout that recruitment
process two episodes back. :)

I got the feeling Cassidy's son is

about to get a couple of new holes and then we will likely see or hear
about a number of people around New Orleans appearing with new holes
and a lack of hole filling blood.
So you think that he's gonna do it? I'm still leaning the other way.
Time will tell. If he does, though, I wonder if that means that his son
is de-aged to some degree or does he just become a healthy (relatively
speaking) 70-something-year-old?

I expect that he will remain the same age, much like Cassidy
apparently did.

What did you watch?
STITCHERS / Kill It Forward / 3x09
"Quincy, are we trying to make this work or not?" she asks him as she
does exactly what she wants to do; does nothing to try to make it work;
offers nothing in the way of compromise; and expects him to drop
everything to follow her.
I'll stick
around for the season finale, but I'll have to think long and hard about
coming back for season four -- if there even *is* a season four at this
rate.

I thought she was even more recognizable as Meredith, the fiancee in
the 1998 remake of THE PARENT TRAP.
