How do these people take pills without water on TV?

Some of them even CHEW the damn things! Pills today are usually topped-up with Bitrex, a very bitter substance designed to dissuade children from accidentally eating them as candy. Enteric-coated pills can be swallowed, with difficulty, but non-coated pills are actually risky to swallow without liquid, they can cause choking.

Things that don't make sense bother me, unfortunately, TV is not free of those incidences.

in the real world this is what's called "a business opportunity".
imagine how much better the world would be if you wrote the perfect
scripts for every TV show? millions of hours of fighting would be
avoided, workplace productivity would increase, etc

so the bigger point is that if you aren't part of the solution, you are
the problem

I routinely take pills without water. I just gulp them down.

Occasionally it will get stuck in my throat, then I'll drink some water
to help it down. This sometimes happens with things like aspirin, which
softens when it gets moist, so it's hard for the throat muscles to push
it down.

A lot of people do.
Is that why they invented the sissy-vitamins (gummies) that childish adults can chew instead of swallowing?

A lot of people do.
There are, as an example, some brands of aspirin that spefically say on
the box that they can be taken without water / milk, etc and simply
swallowed whole or chewed.

The emergency service phone staff also sometimes advise a person having
small heart problems to chew an aspirin while waiting for the ambulance
to arrive.

Instead of watching so much tv and getting aggrvated, you should probably try to get out once in a while.

Research suggests that your body usually produces as much as 1.5 liters of mucus a day, even when you're not feeling sick. Most of this mucus simply slides down your throat.

They obviously do it on television to avoid wasting time but I have
taken pills without water. It's not impossible.
