What's to become of Grange Farm now?

We now know that Clarrie, Eddie and Joe? will be moving out in about
two weeks when Will has finished doing up the kitchen at 1, The Green.

As an outside observer / listener it would be nice to know what the
owner Oliver Sterling's feeling were about them moving out. He's still
working at the Bull, so he must know about it. How much notice did
they give him? Did he offer to reduce their rent so that they would
stay? What plans he has for Grange Farm now?

I'm not holding my breathe but it would nice to knowthe answers.

We are being prepared for the loss of another known house as we did when
the Tuckers left and the ???? moved in until they were sent to Brussels
in the nick of time to save the Aldridges from camping in a bender or
whatever - or those flats in Borchester.

I wonder what the SW's have in mind (if anything) for the family who
moved into the Home farm farmhouse - they seem to have kept a very low
profile.

Good point. Apart from initially being slovenly and unfeeling (IIRR the
Aldridges found some of Jennifer's garden fittings carelessly dumped in
a ditch or something like that), we've heard nary a peep of them.

(Nice old word, that.)

[If anyone's feeling whooshed: it's a reference to a famous poem.
Googling for "Stout Cortez" or "silent upon a peak in Darien" may
de-whoosh. (Have I invented a new word?)]

My guess is that the Aldridges will buy the farmhouse. It's pretty much
the sort of size that they had been talking about getting and probably
is in need of some TLC, so shouldn't be too expensive.

I'm not sure they could take the - for want of a better word - shame, of
moving into somewhere that has been the Grundy's home. Even if the
Grundys never owned it. Brian might be OK with it, but I think Jennifer
might not.

After living in Mike Tucker's two bed cottage, I doubt she'd have too
much trouble with that.

Almost certainly thought of that as temporary, though. I don't think a
move to ex-Grundy Farm could be seen as that.
