Global warming: why you should not worry
yuk
I think there will be a dedicated audience.
But if you are trying to spread your message.
Then you need to do some extra work.
1. Be awake, alive. Lively.
There's nothing more off putting than listening
to someone half asleep, comatose. Speaking should
be clear, not tired mumbling.
2. Appearance. You will lose your audience if you
look dead, trampy, unkempt. Just got out of bed.
Fine for you, but it's not going to bring in the crowds.
ie an ugly beard will need to be cut short or off.
Fine for you, but folk can't listen if they're barfing.
3. Lighting, the lighting is good here, you can see
the guy, all too well.
4. Sound seems good but maybe needs turning up
for the mumbling, maybe that's why the camera
is so devastatingly close.
5. Camera picture. When it's about someone words
lets hear the words. That doesn't mean we need a
mega zoom into the mouth, full of old man teeth.
We're not all dentists and not every is going to
apprentice that close up shot. I mean was this camera
self set badly of did some arty student do it, with
some arty old man teeth and beard study in mind?
Personally I could not look at it, I tried, but all I
could see was old man teeth and wild disturbing beard
moving around and I felt sick. And the quiet mumbling
from the seemingly dying man was the killer and I turned
it off. A least the guy who fell off a cliff knew a
beardy close up would kill his audience.
