"Fatwa.org.au (formerly: mufti-online.net) aims to provide easy access
to reliable and relevant answers to questions related to all aspects of
a Muslim's life. All answers and articles on Fatwa.org.au are written by
fully qualified muftis"
http://www.fatwa.org.au/

Important questions which are addressed:

1. Is the meat of kangaroo halal?

2. When I do wudu I feel gas (gastric) coming. Sometimes I control it
and sometimes it comes out without any sound or smell. I can't control
it as it is comes every 3 or 4 minutes. My question is that in that
situation will I do wudu again or one wudu is enough for one Salah.

3. Is income tax I pay to Indian government not equivalent prima facie
to zakat? If not, am I not burdened twice being a Muslim?

Important questions which are not addressed:

1. Is it permissible to support IS?

"THE Lakemba Mosque has issued a fatwa against Christmas, warning

The head imam at Lakemba, Sheikh Yahya Safi, had told the congregation

The posting of the fatwa has shocked many Muslim leaders.

The Grand Mufti of Australia, Ibrahim Abu Mohammad, said the foundations

[However] The fatwa quotes the teacher Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim as saying that
congratulating disbelievers for their rituals is forbidden, and if a
'Muslim who says this does not become a disbeliever himself, he at least
commits a sin as this is the *same* as congratulating him for his belief

I support that fatwa. Every religion should issue its own condemnation of
it. It's a commercial event pretending to have something to do with an
alleged occurrence 2,000 years ago when some trollop produced a baby from a
father who was not her husband. She claimed it was a miracle conception,
and the baby was the son of a sky fairy. Pull the other one.

or any Australian Mosque. The have sent Moslems to fight with and for
ISIS though. Actions speak louder than words.

The Christian belief and fact is Moslems are deceived.
Like Schizophrenics, they need therapy;
Not confirmation of their delusions.
The recognized place of worship in a Christian Nation is a Christian Church.
Mosques are the recognized place of worship only in Moslem countries
Australia's only legally defined God is our Christian God whose compound redemptive name is Lord Jesus Christ
Something as simple as denying Moslems a place to pray is all it takes to make them leave voluntarily and peacefully.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious.
But it cannot survive treason from within.
An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly.
But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely,
his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard
in the very halls of government itself.
For the traitor appears not a traitor;
he speaks in accents familiar to his victims,
and he wears their face
and their arguments,he appeals to the baseness
that lies deep in the hearts of all men.
He rots the soul of a nation,
he works secretly and unknown in the night
to undermine the pillars of the city,
he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.
A murderer is less to fear.
The traitor is the plague.--Marcus Tullius Cicero

I support that fatwa. Every religion should issue its own condemnation of
it. It's a commercial event pretending to have something to do with an
alleged occurrence 2,000 years ago when some trollop produced a baby from a
father who was not her husband. She claimed it was a miracle conception,
and the baby was the son of a sky fairy. Pull the other one.

..............

Don't mock any religion. You never know, perhaps there really is a God.
And to insult Mary and Jesus will offend Moslems as well as Christians.
Both are mentioned in the Koran.

But Christmas is now a secular celebration anyway, for most people.

"THE Lakemba Mosque has issued a fatwa against Christmas, warning
followers it is a 'sin' to even wish people a Merry Christmas.
The head imam at Lakemba, Sheikh Yahya Safi, had told the congregation
during prayers that they should not take part in anything to do with
Christmas.
The posting of the fatwa has shocked many Muslim leaders.
The Grand Mufti of Australia, Ibrahim Abu Mohammad, said the foundations
of Islam were peace, co-operation, respect and holding others in esteem.

That's like asking whether you support your life when you didn't ask to be
born. There is a fatwa - you make a choice between supporting it, not
supporting it, or ignoring it.

But Christmas is now a secular celebration anyway, for most people.
What does "secular celebration" mean in describing Christmas?
............
Everybody enjoying the celebration but leaving out the religious side.
Easter seems to be going the same way.

The Grand Mufti of Australia, Ibrahim Abu Mohammad, said the
foundations of Islam were peace, co-operation, respect and holding
others in esteem. [However] The fatwa quotes the teacher Imam Ibn
Al-Qayyim as saying that congratulating disbelievers for their rituals
is forbidden, and if a 'Muslim who says this does not become a
disbeliever himself, he at least commits a sin as this is the *same* as
congratulating him for his belief in the trinity, which is a greater
sin and much more disliked by Almighty Allaah than congratulating him
for drinking alcohol or killing a soul or committing fornication or
adultery'".

That's like saying that flat-earthers, or people that think the sun revolves
around the earth, or people who object to blood transfusions, or abortion,
or believe in a flavour of sky fairy, should be left to their own devices.
Experience tells me that such people do not let other people alone. They
most certainly do want other people to agree with them, they will insist on
it, and they will use force to have their way given half a chance. We have
seen it many times in the past, and we see it right now. People don't
change. In my view, people who hold to views about the real world that are
manifestly incorrect should be challenged, vigorously. Or treated for their
delusions.

The answer is clear. They insist that they are right, and that everyone
must comply. They never have just one peculiar belief. They always have a
constellation of beliefs, and at least some of them we must all adopt. So
far as being right is concerned, that is irrational. Right or wrong relates
to the real world. Religious belief depends on faith. The belief is not
subject to being right or wrong. In short, it's a psychiatric condition.

It's easily tested. Tell any group of people that you are the prophet of
any sky fairy you please. Believe it yourself. The only people you will
attract to your claims are nutters. You know it's so.

those that try to make me live a life based on their book or use their book

right. It is their choice and as long as they don't interfer with me
why not let them have their 'fun'
The answer is clear. They insist that they are right, and that everyone
must comply. They never have just one peculiar belief. They always
have a constellation of beliefs, and at least some of them we must all
adopt. So far as being right is concerned, that is irrational. Right
or wrong relates to the real world. Religious belief depends on faith.
The belief is not subject to being right or wrong. In short, it's a
psychiatric condition.
You are arrogant and completely wrong. Religious belief doesn't *only*
depend on faith, it also depends on interpretation.
People interpreted *real* events that took place 2,000 years ago in a
certain way. You may disagree with their interpretation but you cannot
say that the events were not real.
I say that some of the events are unlikely, some extremely unlikely, and
some are not at all credible.
And some are likely & credible.

A scientist would examine the evidence, including writings and
archaeological evidence with high skepticism and would also reach
certain interpretations.
No doubt. What you mean by a "scientist", of course, is a person who
reaches conclusions based on evidence, where the conclusion can be
proved or disproved. The conclusion is not taken on faith.
That is precisely what Matthew, Mark, Luke and John did.

The latter is more likely to be correct but in case you are completely
ignorant, it isn't entirely inconsistent with the interpretation in
the writings. In fact, we have 4 books which corroborate the events
which adds considerable weight to it.
Utter bullshit.
We don't have four books?

You obviously presented that argument to all four of your fuctioning

Tell us about your 'experience' that contradicts Christian beliefs.
I have not ever experienced anything that indicates that there is any
sort of sky fairy. I do not know anyone who has had such an
experience. *I* *am* *told* by those who profess a belief in a sky fairy that
it's a matter of faith. That's my experience that contradicts the
belief in a sky fairy, whether of a Jewish, Christian or Islamic flavour.
So your argument is that your lack of experience disproves the
existence of a 'sky fairy'.
No. I answered your query.

Well gee, I have no experienced space travel. I don't know anyone who
has. I am told by some that the whole moon trip thing was done in Hollywood.
And?

Fair enough, but you shouldn't be so offensive about it.
Please indicate the way in which I have been offensive. You might also
indicate what specifically offended you.
Stupid twonk. You claimed that the Immaculate conception was a claim by
'some trollop' and the mother claimed that the baby was the 'son of a
sky fairy'.

That is not only grossly offensive, not only to Christians also to
Muslims as the OP pointed out. In fact, atheists would be offended by
your remarks as any decent person would be.

You're factually incorrect as well. Anyone heard of the 'Book of Mary'?

At best you're just a thick troll. Probably just thick.

This is what Australia would look like with the ALP and without iron ore
and coal:
https://www.google.com.au/search?q=greece+riots&tbm=isch

Tax Receipts, Costello: 2003-07: 982,341
Tax Receipts, Swan: 2007-11: 1,174,203
Difference: ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY-ONE BILLION DOLLARS
http://www.treasury.gov.au/Policy-Topics/Taxation/Pocket-Guide-to-the-Australian-Tax-System/Pocket-Guide-to-the-Australian-Tax-System/Appendix-C

ALP ineptitude = $20b opening balance + $280b closing balance + $191b
more revenue = $491b

So what did Labor leave as a legacy after WASTING $491 BILLION?
NO INFRASTRUCTURE
600,000 MORE UNEMPLOYED
60,000 VISA CHEATS
14,000+ PAGES OF LEGISLATION
1 X MISOGYNY SPEECH

ALP versus Jobs:

The Basic Laws of Australian Labor:
"A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a
group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly
incurring losses"
http://www.zoon.cc/stupid/

Labor's scorecard:
600,000 more unemployed, 3 minus 3 car manufacturers equals zero,
Whyalla on life support, a decimated aluminium industry, doubled
electricity prices, quarter of a million immigrants and no new
infrasructure, fourteen thousand new pages of legislation, one abuse
hypocritical and silly speech on 'misogyny', four deceased apprentices,
one thousand two hundred drowned asylum seekers, a handbag with an

It's not a right I have. It's a relationship to reality. It doesn't vary
with my beliefs.

You only have to look around to see the imposition of people's beliefs.
It's nothing new. What those nutters did in Paris not so long ago is
exactly the same as nutters do in the US to an abortion clinic. And nutters
have done and will do here when their cages are rattled. It's nothing like
live and let live. And it's not getting better. For a current, if trivial,
example, there are some nutters around who believe that forcing ISPs and
Telcos to retain metadata and phone calls will do something or other to help
the community. It's utter bullshit, but it's being given credence as if it
were true. There is no difference between belief in the reality of a sky
fairy (with all that implies) and belief in the utility of metadata/phone
calls (with all that implies). Fundamentally, it's a reliance on a belief
rather than facts. People who have beliefs that they want to enforce must
be challenged. They are challenged with reality, not with a pat on the
head. Follow?

those who prefer a different world.
Exactly but insulting or hating someone because they crack their
eggs at the opposite end to you is ridiculous and illogical IMO.
There is a categorical difference between a belief in a sky fairy
and having a practice of cracking a boiled egg at one end or the
other.
Is there? It is a belief not founded in fact but important to the individual
You are welcome to offer prayers to whichever tree takes your fancy.
Thankyou but please don't abuse me for doing so
Why would I abuse a nutter who is so stupid as to believe in a tree god?
why did you do it?
What?
insult tree worshippers by calling them nutters? I know that we have
diiferent realities but I cannot see 'nutter' being a term of enderment or
even neutral
So, do tell me. What do you call a person who worships a tree? Hmmm?

Totally agree the operative word being 'enforce'. However don't
try to enforce your 'reality' either
I don't have an idiosyncratic reality. It's the same existence
we all share.
So you are the one in step? My reality is certainly different
then anyone elses as I am an individual. Totally dependent on how
one defines reality of course
No.

All the major monotheistic religions regard them as deluded, for over 2,000
years.

Fast-forward to 2015, and answer the question.

Please indicate the way in which I have been offensive. You might also
indicate what specifically offended you.
Stupid twonk. You claimed that the Immaculate conception was a claim
by 'some trollop' and the mother claimed that the baby was the 'son of
a sky fairy'.

[However] The fatwa quotes the teacher Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim as saying that
congratulating disbelievers for their rituals is forbidden, and if a
'Muslim who says this does not become a disbeliever himself, he at least
commits a sin as this is the *same* as congratulating him for his belief
in the trinity, which is a greater sin and much more disliked by
Almighty Allaah than congratulating him for drinking alcohol or killing
a soul or committing fornication or adultery'".

disbeliever himself, he at least commits a sin as this is the *same* as
congratulating him for his belief in the trinity, which is a greater
sin and much more disliked by Almighty Allaah than congratulating him
for drinking alcohol or killing a soul or committing fornication or
adultery'".

I feel free to mock anyone who holds views that are contradicted by
experience.
......
Fair enough, but you shouldn't be so offensive about it.
Please indicate the way in which I have been offensive. You might also
indicate what specifically offended you.
...........
I thought it was you who wrote the piece "I support that fatwa" (above.)
That was extremely offensive to both Christians and Moslems.
What about Jews? I would be disappointed if Jews were not extremely
offended in the same way as Christians and Moslems.
Post by Pelican
And Catholics would be appalled.
If it wasn't you please accept my apologies. I can get lost sometimes as
to who wrote what.

But Christmas is now a secular celebration anyway, for most people.
What does "secular celebration" mean in describing Christmas?
............
Everybody enjoying the celebration but leaving out the religious side.
Easter seems to be going the same way.

What could be worse? Dead foreign ISIS members, as Iraq is finding out. Over
the last few months a growing number of Western and Muslim countries have
refused to accept the bodies of ISIS militants killed in Iraq but identified
as foreigners. This is a delicate matter because Muslim custom encourages
respect for the dead and prompt burial. The families of these dead ISIS
members want to bury them but their governments do not want to show any
respect to ISIS at all. Some Western nations have revoked the citizenship of
men and women who were identified as dying for ISIS and refuse to have
anything to do with the deceased ex-citizens. Iraq does not want to be
responsible for the burial of these creatures as it would create a shrine
for current or future Islamic terrorists. The U.S. suggests burying them at
sea like Osama bin Laden, with the proper Islamic prayers and a cleric in
attendance. This may be the best solution to a problem that keeps getting
worse as unwanted corpses continue to pile up...

Someone's not thinking.

Set aside an island in the Mediterranean, call it 'Paradise' and
populate it with 63 succulent virgin pigs. Send the bodies there.

Not true Muslim sheikh would object to this as they have all publically
'condemned' ISIS as indulging in unislamic behaviour.

Dung beetles are only interested in dung, not dead bodies. They roll a small
ball of dung around.
The Egyptians viewed them as scarabs, with the dung ball representing the

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious.
But it cannot survive treason from within.
An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly.
But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely,
his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard
in the very halls of government itself.
For the traitor appears not a traitor;
he speaks in accents familiar to his victims,
and he wears their face
and their arguments,he appeals to the baseness
that lies deep in the hearts of all men.
He rots the soul of a nation,
he works secretly and unknown in the night
to undermine the pillars of the city,
he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.
A murderer is less to fear.
The traitor is the plague.--Marcus Tullius Cicero
